AMCS Membership

Just to set the record straight. It was posted on the New Hampshire mini-cup site by the New Hampshire Race director that I as the Maine AMCS Race Director will not let people join the AMCS. That is a bunch of Bullcrap!! Where are people coming up with all these issues. Anyone can join the AMCS as long as they AGREE to follow the AMCS rules. They can't just copy the rules and change the ones that they want to, just to benifit themselves. Again, anyone that wants to join the AMCS is welcome to join and will only benifit themselves in the end. If you race a mini-cup car and don't join the AMCS in your region, its your loss because your name won't be in the national random drawings for each region. Over the past three years approximately half of the Maine members have won prizes in the year end random drawings just for being members. The AMCS have also supported each region with some nice trophy awards. Just this past year the Maine members won (#24, a new minicup body, #21, a new seat, #9, a new hortsman redhawk clutch,#99&48, gold racing chains, #80, brake parts, #8, nose decal kit, etc., just for their $35 membership fee.) Another thing is that you cannot say and enforce AMCS rules if you are not a member of the AMCS. It is illegal to use or copy the AMCS rulebook if you are not a member of the AMCS santioning body and at this time its being investigated. Anyone that is an AMCS member has the right to copy and use the AMCS rules period. If you are not an AMCS member you best not steal the rulebook. All you have to do is join and you will be free and clear plus you will be elligable for some great prizes. Enough said. JC

AMCS MAINE/NH SHOOTOUT???

Just to set the record straight and to end all of the confusion. I have been getting many confusing phone calls for information about Maine/New Hampshire combined AMCS races and rules. I am the registered AMCS (American Mini Cup Series) Race Director for the State of Maine and I have not been contacted by anyone about ANY such races. This so-called Maine/New Hampshire shootout does not include the MMRL (Maine Mini-cup Racing League) or the Quirk Series for that matter so where this name came from I have no idea. SO IT IS NOT A MAINE/NEW HAMPSHIRE AMCS SHOOTOUT. It has been rumoured though that there are a select handful of so-called OUTLAWS in the southern part of the state that are not AMCS members and do not want to follow the AMCS rulebook fully and several other past Quirk members that were expelled from the AMCS/Quirk Series for not following the AMCS rulebook fully and causing alot of havoc in the group. These are the people running with NH, not the Maine Mini-cup Racing League. This shootout should be renamed to get the record straight because it is very misleading to many people. Maybe call it the Outlaw/NH shootout or ??? Again, it does not include the Maine Mini-cup Racing League. Hope this answers your questions. If you may have any further questions feel free to contact me anytime at 207-492-3301.

Super Mini-Cups

Great site guys. Keep up the good work. It looks like you guys got your stuff together. You have a great series and a tour is the way to go. I wish that there was a tour in my state but the minicups keep breaking up into smaller groups and it only hurts the minicups in general. The only way that minicups will ever survive is if they all unite together and make it the biggest that it possibly can be in each state but these little smaller groups that don't want to follow the rules and go off on their own will never have anything good. You guys that belong to the Quirk series have the best thing going in the whole country from what I can see. A $10,000 series is unheard of. Someone has really done their homework in this series. Way to go! Keep up the good work!!

Quirk Racing Series

Just so everyone knows the Speedway 95 track owner Del Merritt Just got off the phone with me about racing next season. One of the Mini-Cup racers has contacted him (and we all know who this is of course) and has gave him a bunch of false information about our series and telling him that it is being broken up and they want to schedule races for next season. He expressed to me that he wil never have Mini-Cups race at his track unless it is done through myself because of my organization, passion for this type of racing and my loyalty to him. He expressed to me that he has raced us for 9 years running and has been very happy with the organization that we have. He told me that he will always support me and will never have another group of Mini-Cups race there unless its done through me. I have talked in great detail with almost every track owner and they feel the same way. The only track that I know of that will race a handful of cars is Wiscasset and that will be short lived once the guys start fighting amonst themselves. Just wanted all the racers to know the true facts.
