| Posted By: jaymee Posted On: Sep 30, 2010 Views: 70 | Cheerleading is not a sport for a reason! you people saying that cheerleading is a sport because we work as hard as any other team....well we do but cheerleading is still not a sport...im a cheerleader so dont think im just hating on you...ive been a cheerleader all of my life(8 years) and i used to think that cheerleading was a sport too untill this year when my coach shellie fox said that its an activity because the state could say if you were aloud to tumble or stunt and i love to tumble and stunt so i was shocked to here this too:( well there you go cheerleading is unfortunately NOT a sport:( |

Hi..Um Im A cheerleader And Our Squad asked our coach if cheerleading was a sport and she said no it is an activity.BECAUSE if it was a sport the state could tell us if we were aloud to stunt or tumble..so if you like to stunt and tumble then your just going to have to get over the fact that its just an activity! but its still GREAT! |

There are alot of cheerleading competitions that alot of people don't know about. They think of us all like "look at me! look at me!" type of people because we are preppy, we have alot of spirit, and are devoted. We are just like any other athlete, only we work harder. We have to stay in shape, watch what we eat, stretch and stay flexible, jump, be happy all the time because you never know when a younger person is looking up to you. |

There are more injuries in Cheerleading, than in any other sports, Cheerleaders are there at every game, just like the players,( who get to sit out once and a while ,and sometimes are never on the floor) Cheerleaders do alot more work than players. We lift girls off the ground and hold them above our heads! I'd like to see a football team do the splits in a skirt! At least they can were pants! So don't try to tell my that we shouldn't letter! |
