HOW RUDE!
Is it rude, when someone's been slaving over dinner, for someone else to come in, take a bite of said meal, make a face, and comment disparagingly on the chickeniness of the chicken? [800 votes total]

Just Plain Rude

That exact same senerio has played out in my house on several occasions. Makes my blood boil. I make it a point not to make things he doesn't like then he has the never to critic a meal. This from someone who has never made a meal in the past 30 years.

Yes, RUDE!

I have to agree, this is rude. I someone takes the time to prepare a meal for you the least you can do is sit down, eat it, without faces or negative comments! I also hate when I take my time to cook and my husband gets caught up playing on his computer or something and won't come down to dinner. That is also rude. :)

Mmmm! Chickeny!

This is a very common complaint from my daughter. I'll even think I have a "safe" recipe that masks the chicken-y-ness of the chicken, but I'll make it again and, dang it! overwhelming chicken-ness has creeped into my dish.

For her it cannot have the sort of dry chicken breast texture in the least. If you've ever had Crack3r Barral's chickn ndumplins that is the perfect example of too chickeny to my daughter.

I endeavor to understand, but still ... rude! If someone makes a meal for you rub your tummy and say Mmmmm! like the Friends with the beef and peas trifle!!
