| Posted By: Kyle Posted On: Jul 26, 2007 Views: 371 | MoTM I ve gone for foxy because, although he wasn’t particularly special in front of goal I though his defending was excellent. And he didn’t stop running. Loved the Gordon and Foxy argument. Also I am assuming that this result doesn’t actually count towards the final players table as it hasn’t in the past. |
| Posted By: neil Posted On: Jul 26, 2007 Views: 361 | Just as tight as last week At least it felt that way. When Stuart went home and I heard there was two or three in it I a/ was surprised there were that many, and b/ had no idea who the advantage was to. Think it would have been even closer if Stu's toe hadn't been louping. Poor sod. Anyhow, for the second week in a row I thought everyone put in a good shift with no-one head and shoulders above the rest. But I've gone for Foxy for pushing everyone on our side forward and getting us into a winning position, even if we were a tad reluctant at times to show for the ball. Good game, etc. |
| Posted By: stuart Posted On: Jul 26, 2007 Views: 352 | brave soldier am still in agony when i walk, or move my toe anything beyond its natural angle. haven't gone to get it checked out yet but might as it looks a bit nasty. eeky - will be out next week (would have been even if fit!) and will keep you posted after that. went for neilly for his early backheel lay-off for their first goal. can't remember much else as i was in a bad way - especially when using that foot to save shots. |
| Posted By: Foxy Posted On: Jul 26, 2007 Views: 334 | MOTM Stu - sounds as if the toe is in a bad way - go get it checked out before it falls off.... As for the match - both sides evenly matched and another competitive game, even my 'argument' with Gordo....doing that is all part of the master plan as Gordo plays better when he's upset....so Ive voted for him as he got the finger oot and put in a good shift....he even scored a couple of good goals.... |
| Posted By: Iain Posted On: Jul 27, 2007 Views: 299 | Gordo It was between GOrdo and Foxy for me this week - I thought they both played well and put in a lot of good work but since I voted for Foxy last week, I'll go for Gordo this week. My plan is to try and get some of my fitness back as I've been struggling since I got back from a few weeks off (to be honest I was struggling before that too!). So sorry to my team mates for being off the pace. |
| Posted By: Gordo Posted On: Jul 27, 2007 Views: 294 | MOTM Neil for me. As Stuart says the deft back heel at the start of the game stands out in the hall of awesomness.... Well done kiddo! As for the game well it was damned close - I thought we were gonna get pumped at the start. We just couldn't keep our house in order and with the runners constantly running at us, it took us a while to find our feet. A wee bit of handbags with foxy was just the ticket to get him underway...and from there we all seemed to press on and bagged ourselves a good few goals! Stu, get to the hospital mate and get that foot checked out! Hope to see you back soon.... |
| Posted By: scott Posted On: Jul 27, 2007 Views: 276 | motm Iain my old son. Don't be so hard on yourself. I thought you put in a good shift of running, and chasing back. Motm for effort from me, particularly movement off the ball on attack. 2 or 3 vital last gasp tackles in D as well. Did enjoy some of the verbal friction during the game..... more like tickling really, but it started some good finishing if that makes sense..... |
