Ridley Scott

Hey thanks for reminding me about Legend Dara. What a beautiful and engaging film that was I had completely forgotten it was a Ridley Scott film. As for A Good Year, the least said about that one the better - appalling.

A Good Year

I actually liked hislast Russell Crowe team-up, 2006's "A Good Year". It got some decent reviews and when I caught it on DVD, I was pleasantly surprised by it. It's an unconventional "guy flick" with some great performances. It's great to see actors enjoying their roles and that's what I see Crowe doing here.

I also like "White Squall" and I'll go on record saying that Scott's BIGGEST MISFIRE was "Hannibal" (a movie that never shoulda been made where we find that Hannibal Lector is just not as scary when he's not behind bars).

No Blade Runner?

I guess Blade Runner got thrown out so it wouldn't win by a landslide, but the Director's Cut of Blade Runner is probably the most meaningful and analyzable film ever made. Ever.
