Kyle Ian Burrows

Kyle for me. he got angry last night and it resulted in a whole bundle of goals for us that allowed us to get the draw. Well played to everyone in our team for battling hard and not letting the heads drop when we were SEVEN goals down.

So thanks to William, Alan and Karl for all kicking/standing on Kyle's ankle and making him angry - you guys truly were the sixth man ;)

How hard can it be to score a blinking goal?

It seemed like we were destined never to score last night. Everything the tatties did worked out fine until we got set up for a shot, then it all went wrong. Meanwhile the whites waltzed through and stuck their goals away with ease. If we were going to get back into it someone had to start scoring, and it was Kyle who gave himself a shake and got us on the way with a couple of great strikes.

After that it was as if we all suddenly remembered where the goals were, and Iain and Simon especially started working a few good chances that ended up in the net.

Overall though it was good to see a bit of grit and fight that enabled us to get back into it.

Hopefully Scotland will have a bit of the same spirit on Saturday!

As Brucie would say 'Good Game, Good Game'

Anyone could have been MOTM last night.

Tremendous amount of effort was put in by both sides and at one stage I though we were going to get gubbed.

However great fightback and spirit shown by the Tattie lads to draw level.

Half way through the match I was thinking about which Mincer I was going to vote for as they were all on 'fire' but in the end I think Kyle just sneaked it with his solo efforts at the end.

Firstly an apology for moaning like a girl. I felt i was fouled a few times, none of which intentional, but as someone said (possibly foxy) if i dont say anything at the time i wont get the foul. Unfortunately Will seemed to get it in the neck the most. I could see he was petrified that, with my manly muscles, i might hurt his so sorry wills! you can sleep easy tonight! ;-)

Secondly it must have felt like a lose for the mince last night cos it felt like a win to me! it was some come back.

A number of players played well for both teams last night. Wills scored a number of good goals and Scott was very good again. But i have voted for Iain as i felt that when we started pushing towards the end we were vulnerable at the back. Iain seemed to be there sweeping up after we lost the ball.

well done everyone some excellent footy at times!

Damn it! Damn it all to hell!

I imagine life probably feels a bit sweeter for the tatties this morning, they were dealt a sucker punch in the first half of the game, we were 7 goals up and playing some great football, but then they dug their heels in, kept their heads high and fought until the final whistle!!

I reckon the mincers (well I do anyway) probably feel a bit gutted to not get the win because we played so well, I don't think any of us gave less than 100%, and to lose the win in the last 2 seconds of a game is harsh!

However, the mincers also gave 100%, and deserved not to lose! The competitiveness and emotion on display by both teams made it one of the most exciting games I've played in!

Picking Motm this week was hard. If Kyle was on my team he might have got the vote, he scored at least 3 or 4 goals from ridiculous angles last night and was always a threat, but I feel like everyone on my team deserves a vote! Alan was a sentinel. Scott was receiving passes within a metre of three tatties, weaving his way out and scoring or assisting goals all night, as was Wills, who also played brilliantly. In the end though I voted for the one they call Stu - he was a reassuring presence all over the park, shrugging off last man tackles all night and scoring a bucketload.

Oh, and while everyone was calculating the statistical permutations of wins & losses this week - nobody thought it would be a draw!! Now the stats are EVEN CLOSER for POTY! Next weeks game could turn out to be the most important game in footballing history. Exciting!

Like a couple of people in the forum have said, and to paraphrase Jimmy Calderwood after the Aberdeen v Lokomotiv Moscow game, never has a draw felt more like a defeat. It was a great game though, and just shows you can never relax no matter how far ahead you are. I voted for Kyle - he really sparked the Tatties into life with his trademark 'beat three men and score from impossible postion' runs.

We are famous!

We might not be in the main video (if you click on Iain's link in the main page), but if you look closely at the still photo at the end - that's us!!

I think I was about to trap the ball and score a goal...

;)

Kyle on Fire

It started off badly. I arrived at the arena early and decided to attend to a pressing matter. I utilised the Townhead sanitary facilities (no problem) only to discover that there was but one leaf of toilet paper left (problem). Using the front page of the Guardian sport pages for the necessary was not the ideal start to the evening. Nor was facing a seven goal defecit.

But the blues managed to tackle this challenge with some aplomb, and I think we all put in a good shift to get back into it, but none more so than young Kyle. The Blues forwards were screaming for the ball from him but it never came, safely lodged as it very often became in the back of the Whites' goalmouth instead.

A proper belter of a game, the Whites were better at the start and I think a deserved draw says it all.

robbed

thought we mince definitely deserved to win that game and am gutted that we didn't. we were never behind all game and were, at times, way in front. credit to the tatties though for hanging in there!

was still a great game (despite the result), everyone was getting stuck in and there was some top play from both teams.

went for kyle as he's won the motm anyway and he scored the equaliser.

William for me. Some astonishing finishes for us in the first 20 mins. Thought we had done enough to hold on at the end but apparently my calculator was not up to scratch this week!!!????!!!! Si had a smashing game for tatties though as well.
