I believe that one of the reasons why they put the title on him was that he didn't look like that he was on steroids. Since the WWF/E is trying to enforce a wellnes policy(when it really wants to) They wanted someone that didn't look like that he was on the juice. As far as being straight laced and being a heel, He's not the first wrestler to have that gimmick. Remember Bob Backlund becoming Mr.Backlund? A man who read out of the encyclopedia and dictionary and tried to get people to read and vote? If it worked for him, I guess the WWF/E is thinking that it would work for punk. |

Although I never liked the character, and never liked the fact the WWE put the belt around his waiste not once but twice, however, he is telling people not to smoke or drink. For adults, whatever, but the kids that watch the show, this should be a good thing and the WWE is making him out to be a heel for this. Very odd choice. |
