Freight

I feel I am in the cat bird seat: lots of freight and a ton of carriers wanting it. The bidding wars have been going on for years but I have found this years battles to quite fierce.
Even the big boys Yellow Roadway and ABF have come down to regional freight rates. We are saving our customers freight dollars whitch in turn generates more orders that also turns into more freight.

Transport Costs (via better srvc!)

Oddly enough, I find that costs decrease when I loyally use smaller carriers. Their actual service and care is more genuine because they literally need each & every shipment in order to survive --- and they can't afford to price themselves out of existence, either, which of course benefits my transport budget, as well!

Recommendation: Emerald Xpress & Logistics, of western PA. Hook up with them(724-6431500).

Parcel

I use a company like American Parcel Xpress www.apxsb.com to control my parcel cost. Great form of consolidation to get better rates.
