BANISHMENT

Pls people should try as mich as possible to know what they are saying especially when it comes to religoin... I read about someone saying the old man didnt breach any section of the constitution, and that the law stated in the constitution is higher than any other law. We muslims dont see it that way, to us our supreme laws are laws of our GOD which do not change. So pls lets respect ourselves and respect each others religion afterall this man is a muslim.

BANISHMENT OF A MAN WITH 86 WIVES

I cannot imagine that such uncivilized comment can come from our respectable leaders. A man chose to marry 86 wives, how on earth does it affect the peace of Etsu Nupe? If he divorce those women will he marry them? Is it not better to leave the women under one man since they have not complained formerly to him than allow them to go back to the wilderness of seeking for husband. This idea is barbaric. It is not in tandem with the norms of democracy. Our muslim leaders must concentrate on other genuine needs of the people like education, poverty alleviation and health than involve themselves in trivialities. Etsu of Nupe should not be allowed to take laws into his hands.

The banishment is wrong.

The Esu Nupe is unneccessarily taking laws into his hands. He has no right whatsoever to banish somebody,a true Nigerian from his place of his abode to an area unknown to him.Our Constitution superceeds any other law.The man has no right to marry more than four wives according to the sharia law but the Emir as the spiritual leader of the emirate would've looked for another punishment other than banishing the man and his entire family.
