As a young lad about the age of twelve, I was touched by an embrodary my mother had that had the image of a house along the side of a road. The words said " Let me live in a house by the side of the road and be a friend to man". In my older years I searched for the complete Poem.I am now 80 years old and very sentimental. This poem by Foss means a great deal to me. |

My neighbor was a librarian. Oddly enough, a friend gave me a similiar shaped ceramic piece for my birthday. I tried to read the bio on Mr. Ross but was unable to get the link. |
