scoliosis brace... :(

Hi...I'm 12 years old, and I just got a brace for nightime only. Does anyone else have a nightime brace? Well, it hurts. I cant fall asleep at all, because I have to sleep on my back, and it is really tight around my ribs. Any advice please?

:(

Concerned

I'm in the 8th grade and i found out that i have scoliosis arounf November. I went back for a folow up wednesday and they had told me my curves have progressed about 4 degrees in three months. My curves went from 40* to 44* and 28 to 33*. I just got fitted for a brace yesterday.

Dancing has been my life since i was 3. 3 hours a day mon- thurs. I don't want to get made un of at school by people. I'm concerned that if my curves still progress and i have to get surgery, then dancing will be a struggle for me... any advice? please.

getting worried..

I have been diagnosed with scoliosis of the spine since i was in high school and am still struggling with coping with it and i am now 26. i had a back brace which helped but got fiercly bullied by my peers. my weight has been severly effected by my scoliosis..eat like a pig and seem to just put on very little weight and am getting depressed somewhat with this
but just recently(in past month) have noticed that my left hand side of back is straight and the other is somewhat curved and is starting to effect me at work..work in a care home in the kitchen so am always on my feet and standing at a sink but also do stuff like laying tables
things are becoming difficult..simple things like sitting and sleeping but am taking painkillers to get me through the day and have finally got it into my head that i HAVE to take painkillers and keep up with them to survive a days work or just even going to the shop.

Would love to hear from people who are in a similiar position to me and learn of how you cope with this
