HapagLloyd, a stalwart of German prowess on the seas has seen a gradual slip since its management by a non shipping entity of investors. It is a shame that the Hanseatic State of Hamburg could not muster enough suport to buy them out and keep them in Hamburg in the same fashion that GL was saved by a patriotic German businessman. The waterfront along the Alster will never be the same if NOL assumes control of this seagoing legend. |
