The problem becomes identification. You can't launch air, ship, or land based missiles at a target without a visual ID. It only takes 1 mistake, and boom, there goes a ship from the World Food Programme. The tracking part is easy. It's the getting close enough for an ID part that is the problem. We have long rang Predators armed with missiles.Predators can be launched off a Small Carrier. We either Train Crews to fight or hire Soldiers. The Liberty ships of WW11 would bait the wolf packs to get close enough then expose her deck and open fire. The merchant Marines would do both jobs Sailor and Soldier.K Hawks |

Any pirates that are captured in the process should be hanged in public as has been done for hundreds of years. They will lose interest very quickly. The other option is the Mystery or Q ships used by the British in WWII to lure in U-Boats expecting an easy (and inexpensive) kill with their deck gun. A heavily armed and armored ship disguised as a merchant vessel (possibly in distress). When the pirate vessel gets in close, the Commandos that have been at the ready "let fly" on the pirates with light and medium weapons. It claimed quite a few U-Boats! |
