| Posted By: JD Johnson Posted On: Dec 3, 2008 Views: 522 | Slumdogging Slumdog The MPAA rating on 'Slumdog' was the biggest turkey. Bad movies come and go. Bad ratings on good movies are unforgiveable. This is almost as egregious of the PG-13 rating the MPAA slapped on "Whale Rider" for a single barely noticeable drug reference. As for Indiana Jones, why all the hate? Yes, it was preposterous, but what did we expect from a franchise that brought us the melting Nazi and the heart-removing witch doctor? I found it much less offensive than the insufferably faux-philosophical 'The Last Crusade' and thought it actually had more laughs than any of the films since 'Raiders'. C'mon, maneating ants? That's gold! |

And, as much talent as DeNiro and Pacino possess, it was pretty clear what to expect out of Righteous Kill. So, even though the inconsistency of the MPAA ratings board is unfortunate, the epic failure of Indiana Jones 4 was by far the most disappointing thing from 2008. |
