| Posted By: Iain Posted On: Nov 20, 2008 Views: 194 | Si We tried long balls and walking/passing it through a very congested bottom third of the pitch. They tried attacking, at pace, from deep and because we were defending on the half way line, they had space to do that. They also harried and chased every player and every ball. We did not. When I say "they", I mean mainly Si who needs drug tested the next time he plays like that. The boy didn't stop running all night so he's my MOTM |
| Posted By: Foxy Posted On: Nov 20, 2008 Views: 187 | The Roadrunner is back!! A huge 'beep beep' and some cornmaze for Si. Whatever he has in his tank, I'll have a pint of it cos it must be high octane. Drugs test? -u'll need to catch him first!!! He ran, harried, tackled, ran into corners (as the pitch was too small), scored goals, missed a few 'easy' sitters and generally was a major pain in the ass for the Mincers last night. I'm glad he was in my side.... PS - well done to my other team mates Scotty, Alan and Craigo for their efforts as well.... |
| Posted By: Jono Posted On: Nov 20, 2008 Views: 180 | If it can go wrong it will go wrong... My evening went something like this..... Turn up late means punishment of going in goals. Whilst in goals let in a soft goal. Go out of goals and get caught on ball to concede posession. Get given ball and pass back to goalkeeper only to score own goal. Get bad stare from Iain. Then at end of game crumple in heap during challange with Foxy and tErn ankle. I voted for nobody! Great game. I love football. |
| Posted By: Si Posted On: Nov 20, 2008 Views: 175 | I want to vote for Jon for his comment I like the wee pitch. I think Iain's right in that we just a got a bit more space, like the whites had last week, and managed to stick more chances away. Some fine saves, predictably from Al, allowed us a bit of breathing space as well. It was a good old scrap, though, everyone trying to the end, and good to see Kylie back on the pitch. In the end I went for Foxy who took forward his midfield general role, dived about between the sticks, told me where to run to, and even found air in his tired lungs to shout 'pish' at me four times! Aaah, 'twas like being serenaded... |
| Posted By: Alan Posted On: Nov 20, 2008 Views: 171 | MotM Hard to choose between the Tatties for man of the match this week Si particularly is on a strong run of former and came close to getting my vote, but Scott seemed to have the ball stuck to his feet and I voted for him. |
| Posted By: stuart Posted On: Nov 20, 2008 Views: 149 | a b1t p1sh we came back into it for a brief spell in the middlw but were never really in the running to win it. our defensive efforts were really poor and you don't win too many games when that's the case. gone for craigo who popped up with more goals than i can remember him ever scoring before. he backed this up with his usual solid defensive display. si was a very close second. |
| Posted By: Scott Posted On: Nov 20, 2008 Views: 136 | bookies make a fortune thought the mince were stronger on paper but they were against the tatties who all seemed to have an extra ounce of energy. Si gets my MOTM for a great display. He even had 2 or 3 subtle touches to finish off his strong attcking runs through the middle. |
