| Posted By: atwt viewer (only sometimes now) Posted On: March 9th Views: 210 | Catholic Maybe the friends you talked to truly are "devout" Catholics--but the fact is that nowadays most Catholic pick and choose what tenents of the faith they will follow. Especially regarding birth control. But also on premarital sex and/or gay marriage. Just b/c you strongly disagree with one or several aspects of the Church's teaching does not mean that you cannot wholly embrace others. Some strict Catholics do not beleive in adoption--they believe that if God does not bless you with children then you are not meant to have them. Nevertheless, I am both an adoptive mom and a Catholic. And, I don't think that my having an adopted child or believing in birth control or equal rights for gays, for that matter, makes me any less a good Catholic than those who full absorb the teachings of the Church. |
| Posted By: Gene Posted On: March 8th Views: 421 | I don't care about Juicy Janet Love Julie Pinson, but her character is so obnixious and whining that I don't care about her. The show is ending in September and they should be focusing on the vets more and not the newbies no one cares about. They may like them, but how about giving the vets some more screentime how about it? |
