I am looking at the shot on it's own merits, not necessarily the end result that the shot contributed to. My entry would be: Tiger Woods, Canadian Open (1999, I think). He's in a fairway bunker, his feet are against the lip so he's standing a foot closer to the ball than he wants. He hits a six iron, 210 yards over a lake, puts it on the fringe, ten feet from the hole. Yeah, it wasn't a major or another "big" tournament but he did go on to win the tournament and the shot itself was absolutely amazing. |
