Posted By: Gilda Diaz Posted On: Oct 23, 2011 Views: 788 | Structure and triathlons Being a fan of triathlons and the work that The Belize National Triathlon Assn has been doing, I totally agree with Giovanni Alamilla. They could have found somewhere else to erect the sculpture. As a matter of fact, wouldn't it have been appropriate for them to put up something that supports what the Triathlon Assn has been doing out there for all those years? Even if it weren't to put up something useful like PROPER STEPS or a RAMP so that the water is easier accessed by the people who do enjoy the water outside of the triathlon events? They could have put up a sculpture that indicates the appreciation for the City Council's well deserved new found love for athleticism in the average population. AND NOT IN THE WAY OF OUR EVENT. |
Posted By: Joseph Roca Posted On: Oct 21, 2011 Views: 798 | 30th Anniversary Sculpture This is tasteless and very tacky. Belizeans can be a lot more creative. Please do not add insult to injury and allow this individual to tarnish the already tarnished image of our country further by promoting this antiquated Roman Numeral sculpture.I say scap this perverse insignia of Thirty Years of Belizean Independence. |
Posted By: Indy Posted On: Oct 21, 2011 Views: 826 | xxx 1.) don't like the xxx for 30 can they be more creative. it have double mean even though it means 30. 2.) would prefer it to enhance the view of the city perhaps put it where the city needs it. Don't block the sea it far beautiful than the sculpture. 3.) or be more creative perhaps make it more fun. Why not involve the city residents to decide what they would like to have. Make it a competition at all levels, primary, high school, university and professional. Be inclusive and you could have avoided all this mess. thank you |
