I am GREATEST pirate and baseball fan. I strongly feel both Kiner and
Maz deserve statues,while still alive. I got OVER 6,000 SIGNATURES on
statue petition,and gave it to McCLATCHY. Kiner has ML RECORD of leading
league in home runs 7 STRAIGHT SEASONS,and has mostly SUPERIOR stats,per
at bat,compared to Stargell. Maz hit GREATEST post season home run in
history,and is widely acclaimed GREATEST DEFENSIVE player at any
position in ML History. Also pirates should retire numbers of PIRATE
HOF'ER'S -Lloyd waner #10; paul waner #11,they hold record for MOST hits
by (2) brothers or father- son combo; Arky Vaughn #21,who has highest NL
ba. (.385) since 1935; also fred clarke; max carey;and Kiki Cuyler.
P.waner,Vaughan, and cuyler have similar stats ,per at bat, as Clemente.
also should have PRIDE OF PIRATES "FAN" AWARD,annually honoring lifelong
"diehard" pirate fan. It's a joke BILLY mEYER'S #1, IS RETIRED,AND NOT
HOF'ERS above.Where is protest from all SABR members and other so-
called fans? MLB should also retire BABE RUTH'S #3. COMMENTS - Joe
