Several times I had to stop reading the book, because I was in shock. How his mom treat Dave the way she did? I'm also a mom, and the more I read the book it really hurt how he was severely child abuse. I do agree with the other comment. He survive all the abuse. Have anyone read his other books? I haven't read his other books yet!!!! |

It tells us the truth that we don’t know, and we realize that we have life good compared to others. This book helped me appreciate my parents, the love they give me, the food they provide for me, and the money that was always there when I needed it.I think we all need to open our eyes, and realize the obvious. We need to be constantly reminded about what goes on outside of our little sheltered environment, and this book did that for me. Dave Pelzer does wonders! |
