| Posted By: Sandra Posted On: Aug 6, 2009 Views: 2562 | About highland parks apperence I was born and raised in highland park, born at highland park general hospital, lived on several streets in highland park such as east grand, midland, candler three different houses on candler. I had a great time when i was young living in highland park. but when i went to highland park a few months ago and wanted to visit my old school midland on midland street. i was devastated and could not belive my eyes that the youths of this soceity have gang graffiti all over the school as well as businesses. But my parents moved out of highland park when i was 9 years old. I still stroll through highland park every 2 to 4 years since i left with my family. I remember when i was young they had lots for us as kids to do, highland park had community the pool trucks as well as the community center fun nights aspecialy for halloween partys and such. but now their is nothing for the young youths to do but splater graffiti all over. thats pretty sad that the place i grew up in is now a dead zone. |

The years of incompetency and pure laziness in the department is the problem. The office staff of temps were brought in because their was no competent staff available to handle the postions...as you know it was tried with one of your highland park water staff and she could not handle the job...therefore competent staff was brought in. Be assured no one wants the director's job...by the looks of your department no one wants the jobs they have. |
| Posted By: she-she Posted On: Sep 9, 2007 Views: 3226 | water,what if did the people of highlandpark know that four of the five people at the water plant are planing to retire or quit.that under state law we are under staff.that home land funds for the water dept.for security up have not made it to the dept.that just like jan people like sadie adams can retire and come back in a city position.that their are people at the water dept. office temps that are over chargeing people on their water bills, so that they can take over as director of water.what if highlandpark had to go on detroit water, |
