| Posted By: Adrian Posted On: Mar 29, 2008 Views: 305 | Website Design Henk's design I believe is the way forward. It's clearly readable and restful on the eyes. Less obsession with garish background colours defines the site as professional and informative. Magazine like in its outlook it could just take this site to a new level, publication and the newsstands. Will the kids like it? Probably not, it still gets my vote though. |
| Posted By: David Posted On: Mar 28, 2008 Views: 349 | My Choice I don't like the bright almost garish colours of Dave or Michal. I think that fater a while they would get very annoying to the eyes. Rather like the softer colours of Illutic, whom I voted for. |
| Posted By: Vicent Tur Posted On: Mar 28, 2008 Views: 377 | About the design contest Hello. Usability studies prove that dark fonts over light background are the best choices to improve readability. That's because it is what we are used to: black ink on white paper. If you finally choose Dave's or Michal's design, nothing will happen if you surf the site for five minutes, but if you surf the site for half an hour, it will take some time for you to "uncross your eyes". I think that loud colours also tend to be more aggressive to the eyes than soft ones. That's why I've finally chosen Illutic's design. It would be perfect if the fonts were serif, instead of sans serif. Best regards. Vicent Tur |
