They raise the money through a series of activities and through citizen donations. The EMT people do stand-by as they do for other large gatherings. There are officers offered, in the past, traffic control. The need for that has diminished with the competition from the strother and Casino displays. On the other hand, the money for the cookie sales has been an outstanding token of citizen response for the problem presented to the community by the water Czar. The question would be why does the water Czar have money for remodeling offices inside City Hall when he is saying that without those outrageous rates and fees the department will submerge? |
