Berman Killed Star Trek - Love Live The Roughnecks

Thanks to the steadily incompetent hand of new Star Trek Producer Rick Berman, the Star Trek franchise sucks more than a Denevian Slime Devil. It's been gut-wretching to see each new TV series with the name of "Star Trek" (Deep Space Nine, Voyager, and Enterprise -- which at first spurned the "Star Trek" moniker only to later embrace it, as one would a life-saver, to stave off sinking in the ratings) hit the creative and moral bottom and then stay there, wriggling year after year in excruciatingly slow death spasms. Sad (sorry Gene).

And then came a full-CG (Computer Graphics) TV series called "Roughnecks: Starship Troopers Chronicles" (now out on DVD). Never mind that parent company Sony treated it like a bastard-son and did everything it could to ignore it and even stifle it. This was excellent science fiction by any definition -- with awesome CG-design and expert story telling (scenes as chilling as any from the like of "Aliens" or "The X Files") thrown in. I've forgotten all about Berman's debacles.
