| Posted By: mensan Posted On: Jan 24, 2006 Views: 177 | RE: THE US GOVT james, as a member of mensa, i can assure you that a mere aptitude test is a bad idea. i see people in Mensa who are completely inept at everything involving managerial skills. these people may show a great amount of skill for taking tests... but are no good at making important decisions. and these people are supposedly the smartest 2% of people in the world, i.e. having an IQ in the mid 130s or higher Learn More about Mensa the problem with our system is that the 2 major parties garner all the votes and people who might have voted 3rd party or independant decide instead to vote dem or rep simply because they believe that the 3rd party guy has no chance of winning. of course they have no chance of winning if nobody votes for them. instead of the least of 3 evils, we sometimes end up with the middle of 3 evils. |
| Posted By: Karl Marx Posted On: Jan 24, 2006 Views: 176 | RE: THE US GOVT Roast, Communism is a wonderful thing in theory. there is one unescapable flaw in communism though. in order to have all of these social programs owned by the people, you require a fairly heavy work pool to manage these programs. workers need supervisors. these supervisors need managers and so on up the line until you end up with the corrupt beaurocracy that was present in the old USSR. communism was a great experiment based on a highly flawed hypothesis. |
