Was there a choice between the two? You had ****, and warm ****. We need to stop electing these people that have no idea how to run anything but a business. It's not a business. Thats the wrong way to look at it. Elect someone who passes with a very high aptitude test score.

Communism is a wonderful thing in theory. there is one unescapable flaw in communism though. in order to have all of these social programs owned by the people, you require a fairly heavy work pool to manage these programs. workers need supervisors. these supervisors need managers and so on up the line until you end up with the corrupt beaurocracy that was present in the old USSR.

communism was a great experiment based on a highly flawed hypothesis.

As someone with an IQ in the top 1% of the population I find the idea of joining and paying dues to a club like Mensa silly. I have never actually met any Mensa member that wasn't an arrogant pseuo-intellectual.

I dated a guy who was born/raised in a communist country. He said for the "average" family it was good to have healthcare and education for all.

BUT, whenever you picked up a pay phone there was a government recording stating "All calls will be tapped, traced and can lead to arrest." eeek

We are headed towards communism. China is headed towards capitalism. We will eventually reach a midpoint called capunism or comitalism. But it will be a combination of the worst aspects of each rather than the best.

You're absolutley right James... Dubya and his goons have waaaay too much power w/o accountability.

At least a few of his boys are finally being investigated. Let's just hope the investigators don't have their pockets lined with republican dollars.
