King Arthur time, or Star Trek?

I love the idea of being in the past as a wizard. I also love the idea of exploring the stars. I always seem stuck in between things. Ok, whatever. Latters

WOW, would we have expected any different from you? lol Personally, I think you would rather enjoy King Arthur time over Star Trek, not much chain maile - or however you spell it - in Star Trek, but a buttload of it in King Arthur time, plus I can't imagine you in a little clingy spandex outfit...lol

In the future though I'd not be fat, in much better health, and I'd have a purpose.

In the past I guess I'd have not gotten cancer from growing up under the power lines. It's also much more romantic. The only way though it would be better would be if I was a wizard. Otherwise I'd probably get the plage or be burned or something.

Most of the people at the fairs are pussies. They lightly hit each other one or two times with wooden swords then quit. ****, it takes longer to get into the armor than that. If you aren't walking away with a few bruises and a few hours of repair work to the armor then don't bother getting into it. It's like someone having a huge 4x4 truck and freaks out when they hit a small pothole.

The girls are much braver wearing those tight corsets and extremely low cut dresses, running around all over the place. Not to mention that they are doing that around lots of guys drinking beer and talking about pillage.....

I resent the person who posted calling us "pussies".

Here are the following injuries I've received from jousting or sword fighting at fairs:

1. Cracked rib.
2. Scratched cornea
3. Leg wound requiring seven stiches
4. Chipped tooth
5. Sprained thumb

When is the last time you received such injuries? PUSSY!

MOST

I only had two. A small dagger through my thumb (never do drinking games across the table from a Scotsman) and I lost the grip on a sword and it fell down into my leg right below the knee and it stoped in my calf. Couldn't walk for a few days. I wish it left a bigger scar. The thumb left a good one.

I'm not going into wizards here. Nor am I going into the whole dragon thing again. I know there are no more dragons. Not in this dimension anyway. Before you say it, don't bother.

there were wizards, just like there are witch doctors today. whether or not they possess magic is different question. dragon myths most likely started with the discovery of dinosaur bones

RE: King Arthur time, or Star Trek?

ok, let me rephrase that. there werent wizards that had powers to stop them from being burned or having the plague or whatever. they were just nutters that other nutters beleived could do stuff.

RE: King Arthur time, or Star Trek?

OK guys you gotta remember that James is like those crazy guys that walk around the streets of New York mumbling to themselves. They may believe every word they say but everyone else knows that are bat**** insane. We all know that James does not play bar games with anyone and has never had his finger stabbed, he has never jousted, he has never performed magic, and the only thing he ever lost his grip on was reality. James hates his life so much that he needs to make up alternate realities like being a wizard or dragon master to escape the truth of his existance. Of course he will deny this all because to accept it means he has to accept his real life. The best way to deal with him is to do what you do with all the street crazys. Point and laugh.

PS - You could have a sword run right through your chest, but if you hang out at renaissance fairs, you are a pussy. Nothing changes that.
