It would be cool for him to put all the entries up there for people to make comments, but then allow him to make the decision. It's his contest and his prizes, so why leave the decision up to a bunch of people who may or may not have the best scrupples (or taste). Most of these contests he's had...actually, pretty much all of them I totally disagreed with the winner. |
| Posted By: talula Posted On: Jan 10, 2007 Views: 818 | RE: Whiskers and Homer????? i agree. and if he wouldn't want to be the sole decider, i think he should ask a couple of his friends to help or something. maybe he's worried people will be annoyed at him or think he's biased for whatever reason or something, but people like that just have to stop whining. another option would be to make everyone vote for 1 cat, 1 dog, and 1 other...then, even the friends of people that are just voting cuz it's their friend's pet, would actually pic the other 2 options cuz they actually like it...it might actually add some more balance to the contest... |

I really do wish people could be more grown up on this site. I do think people would be encouraged to be more creative if tOdd did his own judging... I like the idea of a panel of his friends. Then he couldn't be blamed by those phenomenally immature losers (or friends of losers) who may bitch and whine about it. I really enjoy seeing all of the entries for the contests he's had. It's just when it comes to the voting and especially the winners, I get a little ****ed. The pumpkin contests are always ridiculous. The crappiest wins! It's a little more difficult with the pets because they are all so cute. I just don't think the leaders are necessarily the cutest and definitely not the most creative. |

Maybe tOdd should have a contest where we can vote on how these contests should be judged. The winner would be an IDEA, not a person/pet/pumpkin, so there would be less incentive to cheat/hack/etc. But who would judge that contest? |
