RE: Two Bucks

No way is the tax expense deduction related to full or part time work!
If you "tried it" you did something wrong friend.

And - if you are employed by the company you can deduct "unreimbursed employee business expenses" - but it won't help unless you "itemize" in the first place.

ENOUGH of this, right?

$2

RE: Two Bucks

again, I already said that.

A 1099 Misc wouldn't do the pizza guys any good since it is unlikely they have enough deductions to itemize. Even so, if they were considered self-employed and received 1099's instead of W2's, they would then have to pay 15.3% self employement tax so that would pretty much blow any gain they had on deductions. Anything over $92,000, the SET is only 2.9% so they have that going for them :)

RE: Two Bucks

Fer sure, three bucks. here's how I look at it: I blow a buck on crap...a candy bar...a parking meter...the change thingy in the local drugstore for children's cancer or whatever...So a buck is really nothing when I think about it. To me. But as a former waitron, the difference between a "normal" tip and a pretty good one can kind of make your day. So as far as I can see, I can make someone a little happy for a dollar, or I can **** it away.
