Therefore, socialism leans towards people becoming parasite, which is why it never works on a large scale, you must hand pick each member of a commune. Now, were the country to start to lean a little more towards socialism, as Canada has done, that could be beneficial. Second, Capitalism is also a flawed system, as it is based on permanent growth in a world of finite resources, therefore eventually it will collapse. As to anyone arguing for a reduction in the size of government to pretty much an anarchical state, which would create a far more equal and sustainable society, barring one thing. If the US were to turn to an anarchy, just a collection of enclaves combined by trade, MILLIONS OF PEOPLE WOULD DIE. If you are willing to accept this, go ahead and be an anarchist. If not, better look at ways of reforming the current system. |
