Post Info | TOPIC: Favorite album? |
Posted By: Gene Posted On: Dec 7, 2008 Views: 533 | Favorite album? I personally enjoy the Motorcade of Generosity. There is something about the sound of the album and the odd lyrics. |
Posted By: MG Posted On: Dec 7, 2008 Views: 528 | RE: Favorite album? It's hard to say. Sometimes I would say Fashion Nugget but it depends. Overall I would have to say Prolonging the Magic is my least favorite even though it does have some of my favorite songs. I used to have all the albums in my car but then I thought I should switch up my CD holder so I only have Fashion Nugget and Comfort Eagle in there now but I'm considering going back to the old layout. Pressure Chief always gets to me for some reason. It's one of the saddest albums I can think of. But anyway, too difficult. Can't decide. |

Posted By: nigel Posted On: Dec 8, 2008 Views: 484 | RE: Favorite album? Interesting.. all picks so far are from the Greg Brown days (almost). I agree.. Greg's unmistakable guitar style with John's unmistakable vocal style. wow. |
Posted By: Justin C. Posted On: Dec 8, 2008 Views: 481 | RE: Favorite album? Well I hate to step all over your observations, nigel...but...well, here I go. Comfort Eagle has always been my favorite. though my spot for favorite CAKE album may change a lot, I've always loved Comfort Eagle. It one of the only albums I can listen to straight on though and never get sick of. |

Posted By: Adam Posted On: Dec 8, 2008 Views: 463 | RE: RE: Favorite album? No favorites, just unconditional love. All of the music is CAKE. CAKE is Great. Therefore, all the music is Great. |
Posted By: darwin Posted On: Dec 8, 2008 Views: 461 | RE: Favorite album? Ditto. It's really hard to pick, they are all incredible. For a while it was B-Sides (as it was shiny and new, and on fulltime rotation). I'm just itching for the next release... Or a show in the Twin Cities. I haven't been to any concert since Jerry Garcia died and a Cake concert is the only one I can fathom spending my money on. |
Posted By: Gene Posted On: Dec 8, 2008 Views: 445 | RE: Favorite album? Ive seen Umphrey's McGee twice and they record every show and sell it aferwards and on their site. It CAKE did something like that I would pay 10-20$ easy for some recordings. |
