May I ask: 1) Have you ever heard about Rihanna, Hal Linton, Shontelle Layne, Livvy Franc or Rupee (all singers)? 2) Have you ever heard about Ryan Brathwaite(World hurdle Champion - 2009), Obadele Thompson (Bronze medal: 100m sprint Olympics 2000 - Sydney, Australia)? 3) Have you ever heard about Ronald "Suki" King - perennial World Draught Champion) who made it into the Guiness Book of Records in 1998 for playing against 385 players simultaneously and beating them all. Additionally, he has won United States titles and a World Championship Title at the game. "Suki" has been winning from 1986 til present. 4) Have you ever heard about Sir Garfield Sobers - former cricketer and captain of the West Indies team. In 1958, he scored his maiden Test century against Pakistan in Kingston and expanded it to an unbeaten 365, breaking a record Test score of 365 (not out) set by and English cricketer some 20 yrs prior. This record was held by Sobers for 36 years. In 1968, Sobers became the first batsman ever to hit six sixes in a single over of six consecutive balls in first-class cricket (a record that was held for 16 yrs). This tally of 36 runs in an over broke a 57-year-old record of 34 runs. 5) Have you ever heard about Otis Gibson, cricketer for Barbados and the West Indies. The sun shines almost every day,the beautiful caribbean sea is on one side of the island and the atlantic ocean is on the other side. crime is low, the people friendly,education is high. It's also the land of birth of the popular singer, Rianna, and the well know athlete hurdler Ryan Brathwaith Barbados steeps in history. It is the place George Washington visited in his youth with his ailing brother. (the only place he ever visited outside of the USA.) |
