STATE OF EMERGENCY

This is the only practical solution to the Boko Haram insurgency in Nigeria.
However the soldiers deployed should not harass innocent civilians. The ones that refuse to cooperate with the Nigerian Army by hiding and shielding the Boko Haram insurgents should be fished out and sanctioned.
Since the Republic of Chad and the Republic of Cameroon have decided to help in dislodging them,in the shortest time the Boko Haram will die a natural death. It is going to be a thing of the past.
This was how the Maitasine sect was dislodged in 1983 and today they are no more heard of as the Federal Government never condoled their insurgency then. They were dealt with decisively.Go to Yola in Adamawa State they will never forget how the Maitasine sect was dislodged for peace to reign in their State.
As for the Northern leaders they should be charged with murder.Their statement is inciting and irresponsible.Despite the innocent lives lost they came out to say the Federal Government have declared war on the North. And by the way who made them Northern leaders?
I tell you many Northerners are against them due to their greed and self interest.

THE RECENT LAWS ON UK IMMIGRATION

When you are walking,it is at times good to look behind you.
In the sixteenth century British steamers came to the first capital of Nigeria Akasa to trade in palm oil and they had uninterrupted access into many communities. Those that refused to cooperate were fought with and many Chiefs and Kings were sent on exile by these colonialists in their desperate search for raw materials to be used for their factories.Their companies like the Royal Niger Company, Palmer, Mc Calver and many others came to trade and were very successful.
At first they were unwilling to stop the slave trade due to the wealth they acquired from it. I can still recall when my American friend came to Bristol City and we went to visit the John Wesley chapel(a tourist attraction) at Broadmead. The first time this founder of the Methodists mentioned it in the pulpit that slave trade was against the will of God,his parishioners rioted in the church and destroyed his pews.I was very pleased with what he said.He said Satan was fighting for his kingdom.
After palm oil was not much in demand they went into crude oil and used the divide and rule tactics. And this has resulted in insecurity in Nigeria today.Nigerian leaders are confused today because they are using the oil wealth for selfish purposes. They have been conditioned to believe that the oil money is for them and them alone hence there is this crave to become presidents at all costs to misuse this common wealth.
I can still remember when the late British Prime Minister Margret Thatcher was always in Lagos to solicit for British interests in Nigeria when our economy was booming and because of bad leadership and wealth management by Nigerian Civil servants we lost it.
Now they have labeled Nigerians as criminals and have nothing to do with them. They allow our leaders to come in with stolen money. But I used to think that the receiver of stolen items is also guilty as the thief. They have forgotten how they came to work in Nigeria and the hospitality shown to them.I have had occasions to discuss these issues with my British friends who are good visionaries and unbiased when they take up issues with you(unfortunately they are very infinitesimal). We always conclude that when it is well with you today do not forsake your friends and partners as you will always meet them one day. Will it be that of joy or of shame?
I appreciate those from the bottom of my heart who have come out to say no to stricter immigration laws as the United Kingdom have always opposed those that carry out such practise. My phone is always being bugged by the police.I have no skeleton in my cupboard so they can continue.I see a lot of things we discuss being implemented and this gives me joy as far as human lives are saved.
To Nigerians I will say God has a way of doing His things.Despite all the abuses and name callings by other countries the hen will come to roost one day.

Democracy Indeed!!!

When I traveled to Delta Delta State last year I was very embarrassed with what I saw in Warri. The town is very dirty and there was poverty everywhere. The population of teenage girls with pregnancy is disturbing. These teenagers have produced a large population of children who now move about committing crimes. They do not go to school and their parents have not been empowered in anyway to take of these kids.
As you enter Warri you are greeted by stern looking soldiers. As you leave to Abraka there is a check point at the Petroleum Training Institute(P.T.I)junction.There is another close to the Airstrip on your way to Abraka. There is another one as you leave Warri to Ughelli. From all indications these soldiers are there to intimidate people from Warri and its environs as they are the only people who can speak out against stolen voters mandate. The government of Delta state may defend itself that the soldiers are there because of militancy and kidnappers. But I beg to disagree. When Oshiomhole's mandate was stolen the then P.D.P government placed soldiers at the borders of its state to intimidate the people of Edo State. When the mandate was given to the right owner the soldiers were withdrawn as the governor knew he was voted in by the people.
These soldiers did a lot of atrocities to protesters in Warri,Ughelli,Agbarho and other towns where they were bold to come out to protest.
Nigeria is no longer ruled by the military who used force to rule the people.Even if the soldiers are there for security purpose which I doubt they must not be partisan. They must allow people to protest when their mandate is stolen they should not be intimidated with guns.Money meant for the state are used to bribe in Abuja and shut the mouth of those that are to speak out.what is happening in edo State must happen in Delta State

THE DEATH AND RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST

After the triumphant entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday and when the time came for Him to Passover to Heaven as the Jews celebrated the Passover feast He gathered His Disciples washed their feet and spoke about the person to betray Him and also told Peter that he would deny Him which Peter said it was not possible. This was a very solemn ceremony.
He then celebrated the sacrifice He would undergo Spiritually at Calvary on the table by giving them His real Body and real blood to eat and to drink as with God nothing is impossible. He then surrendered himself as the real Lamb of God as testified by John the Baptist to be sacrificed physically at Calvary. That is why it is said that the Sacrifice at the Mass is the the same at Calvary as one is Spiritual and the other is physical.
However He rose on Easter Sunday which stunned the Women,His Disciples, the soldiers that guarded the tomb and up to the present day, it is still a thing that stuns the World. If Jesus Christ never resurrected there would have been no Christianity today.
ALLELUIA THE LORD IS RISEN!!!

GRANTING PARDON TO CRIMINALS

It is a pity that Jonathan decided to unleash criminals on Nigerians. Why is Nigeria fighting corruption when those involved are easily told to go and continue to enjoy what they stole?
I am very happy that Mr. Kenyamo has declared his intention to contest the 2015 Governorship election in Delta State. We need a change in Delta State just as in Edo State.I hope there will be internal democracy in whichever Party he declares his intention to join.No god fatherism should be tolerated.
He should be prepared to fight the riggers who are cowards. They will use the Police, the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) the Military to intimidate him just as they did to Great Ogboru who ran away and lost his mandate. He should be prepared to face them with the people of Delta State.
Riggers are always cowards as their conscience always judge them to be evil.
I have been very busy since before the election of Pope Francis the first and after his election.May God guide him to lead the faithfuls all over the World. The stories I have read about him assures me that he will hold the Faith as our Fathers that have passed on held it.If Jesus Christ should come today He will not change a single word of His in the Bible because we are in a modern age.

PDP WILL FAIL IN 2015

They are think they are unbeatable.Lets see how they will win the polls in 2015.
There is too much looting of the treasury and corruption is every in Nigeria.
Can you imagine a country where the internally generated revenue from tax payers capable of running its annual budget is still wallowing in poverty? If I may ask what do they do with the oil money?
Nigeria is still having a problem of good governance and leadership. The day we shall have the right leaders who are selfless, sincere, focused and dedicated we shall not move forward.
All the ex-head of states are now having an association so that they can always influence decisions taken in Nigeria.Any body that rules will want to continue influence decisions after leaving the government. They want to continue to oppress Nigerians. They were not able to make good decisions when they were there and now they want to take good decisions. Is that possible?
Leaders in Nigeria are now telling lies and using the name of God in vain. They should know the consequences of their actions. Their Pastors and Imams should educate them. They think they can deceive God.That is a big lie. Most of them reading this write up will say they do not believe in God and are not concerned and only those who believe in God that will be affected.Everybody will face the judgment of God believe it or not.
In the Bible Jesus Christ referred to the case of Noah when he was telling his generation to repent from their atrocities but they refused to listen to him as some were marrying and giving out their daughters winning and dinning until the flood came and killed all of them.
Look at the Meteor that injured a lot of people in Russia. It is a just an infinite sample of what is going to happen to the World in future.Repent and be saved.
I am not a licenced preacher but look at gospel of St. Luke 13.Some people came to meet Jesus and told Him of the wicked sacrifice which Pilate did by mixing the sacrifice with the blood of some Galileans(he was showing off his power to do and undo).Jesus Christ told them are those Galileans the worst sinners or those the tower at Siloam fell on are the worst sinners.Until you repent you shall perish like them.Where is Pilate today in Hell fire.

THE PROBLEM WITH THE NIGERIAN JUDICIARY

The former Chief Justice of Nigeria Katsina-Alu was refused commissioning into the Nigerian Army due to the fact that the British who were in charge of the Academy saw traits in him that does not befit an officer.
He went to read law and his records were not checked to see how suitable he would be able to conduct his duties as a Justice in the courts of Nigeria.
Look how he ended his career in a controversial way.His going too far to ask Justice Salami to carry out an unethical assignment is still haunting the Judiciary.
The Judiciary is now a part of P.D.P and can no longer perform its duties of checking both the Executive and Legislative arms of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The hammer given to them is now lost and furthermore they do not know the enormous power bestowed upon them by Nigerians.
I salute the courageous ones among them who refused to join them. Many do it just because other Justices do it and nothing happens.
I must say I was disappointed with the statement credited to Jonathan when he visited the Police College Ikeja Lagos. It was said he asked who allowed the Channels Television access to the College to film the dilapidated infrastructures. That they wanted to bring down his Government.I hope he was misquoted because this statement rubbished the visit to have an on the spot assessment of the situation on ground which gladden the minds of Nigerians that we have a caring President like what Obama does when there are disasters in the U.S.A. and other climes.
The Government belong to Nigerians and can take it when they want.We are no longer being ruled by the Military who always arrogantly tell Nigerians that the Government belongs to them.Nigerians deserve some respect.
We do not want him to behave arrogantly like Obasanjo and Babangida.

THE FINDINGS OF S.A. COURT ON OKAH

Please South Africa should leave Okah alone as the case is political and family. They should not bring problems to Nigeria as many Christians were killed and a call for dialogue is on.Christians have forgiven Boko Haram and no trials are being carried out in Nigeria despite their atrocities. We need peace and would not like a situation where S.A assets are targeted.
A word is sufficient for the wise.

THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY AND NCAA

The recent report of the National Assembly on Nigeria Civil Aviation led by the Senate Committee on Aviation should have not brought any row between the two bodies.
The Senate accused the NCAA that its Engineers were not up to date with the Technical issues involved in the aviation industry.
There are many Electrical interfaces being introduced into Aeroplanes every now and then and they need to go and study these new technologies in order that they can be up and doing.I think they should have asked the Senate for more funding so that they can attend seminars and courses to improve on safety.
I was at one of the seminars organised by the British Accident Investigation Bureau at the great Filton in Bristol. There were a lot of interesting items discussed where I was the only black man present.
I will not want to discuss all that transpired there on this blog. There are a lot and lots of improvements in accident investigations.
These things cost a lot of money and the senate should be able to allocate funds for this instead of the altercations that will not result in making the Nigerian Civil Aviation safer.

KILLING OF INNOCENCE

Recently a guy who probably was looking for money to buy hard drugs or marijuana snatched an old woman's bag and ran to hide in my garden. The Police were called and they called the Helicopter which helped them to fish him out of his hiding place.
The Police were not satisfied and called the Police dog unit to search my compound probably to fish out any incriminating thing. The dog handlers called called me that they were bringing the dog which I allowed them to bring in.The lovely dog sniffed all over the place and breathed out loudly. It immediately turned away from my compound and headed towards the car that brought it.The Police were disappointed when they found nothing incriminating from their looks. They tried to cajole the dog to go back but it refused. They searched under my car parked on my drive way but found nothing. They then decided to leave with no apologies.
In my life I have not seen how a hard drug looks like nor touched it.I can still remember the beating my mum's friend gave me back in Nigeria when she saw me simulating how to smoke and that made me to hate cigarettes. So when I go to some corner shops to see children begging me to buy cigarettes for them as they would not sell to under age children I feel bad as these innocent children have been addicted with nicotine when their mothers were pregnant.Their parents smoked during pregnancy and even their fathers indirectly contributed as they also smoked indoors when their wives were pregnant. The nicotine passed on to their children make them to crave for cigarettes at a very young age.
I can still remember a lady cause mate of mine telling me that her mum gave her cigarette when she was eight years old believing it will make her feel bad.But she said she smoked everything and her mum was disappointed. She then told her mum not to worry she would quit when she is an adult. But today she has not quit smoking.
Today the Church remembered those innocent Children below the age of two King Herod ordered to be killed because the wise men did not come back to him to show him where Jesus Christ was.
My thought is why was he afraid of Jesus Christ?Even Jesus Christ did not come to usurp his Kingship as He rightly said His Kingdom is not of this world.Even if had believed in Jesus Christ his worldly kingdom will remain and also he will gain the eternal kingdom which Jesus Christ came to proclaim.
In 2013 Nigerian leaders should not be afraid like Hrod that the money accruing to Nigeria will not be enough for them to share. They should be able to take care of everybody for peace to reign.

THE NATIONAL SPORTS FESTIVAL

New Sports men and women have been discovered. The Best four or five of each event should be camped and monitored for the next two years and those that do not meet up should be dropped. They must be paid monthly stipends just like Delta State did.

CASSAVA:MATTERS ARISING

The Federal Government of Nigeria asked farmers to grow enough Cassava for the coming several industrial uses they will be put into. The International Institute for Tropical Agriculture(IITA)Ibadan as we are told have developed high yielding stems for cultivation and many farmers are investing their lands for the cultivation of this crop which is going to lead to the high production of this root crop.
As for IITA they have not told the farmers the yield per hectare.I went to their blog and found out that it is about 20 to 30 tonnes per hectare which is not bad but I do not think these farmers have been enlightened about the yield as many of them said that they went into the cultivation of cassava some years back and the prices offered for the commodity per tonne was ridiculous despite the fact that China offered a very handsome price they were not allowed to export and they were looking for buyers locally which was not supposed to be.The Federal Government should intervene to buy up their crops for at least N60.00 per kg.
The cassava intervention fund should be managed with the Growers Association so that that can be more transparency.
The Banks are really working hard with the Growers Association to give them soft loans for the programme to succeed from investigations made. But it should not be like what happened to the Cattle Breeders Association who could not pay their loans due to the ridiculous prices offered for their animals by middlemen who claimed they took the risk of transporting the animals to the various cattle markets across Nigeria and they can have losses due to bad roads and communal crises.
The Federal Government should note that Cassava is in high demand all over the world and should encourage farmers so that they will not shy away from the growing of cassava which the Food Technologists are eager to add-value to in order to produce Ethanol,Bread,Biscuits,Glucose,Chips and Fufu which many Nigerians love to swallow.

TOUCH NOT MY ANNOINTED

Recently in the UK my Parish priest gave a homily on the readings of Romans 1 and in verses 26-27 St.Paul spoke about drunken orgies which he condemned.
The next Sunday he complained that he will never talk anything about sexual orgies in the Church again due to the fact that a Parishioner came to invite him for a sexual orgy party. After Mass I approached him and told him to continue condemning it as it is in the scriptures because many who come to the Church are empty about what the Church teaches.By running away from telling them the truth the devil will over take their souls.
Many Priests and Pastors who are not working for God involve themselves in immoral activities by keeping "girl friends" and in order to satisfy them they pinch the Parish funds. When the Finance committee questions them they will say "they are the anointed ones and nobody can tell them to give account".This is pure stealing and if you are anointed does that insulate you from hell fire?
Some priests in Nigeria will say that they are secular priests and therefore can have sex and not father children and can also own a building to help their poor families.I don't think this is a Catholic teaching.
Look at what happened recently to Pope Benedict XVI.His butler Paolo Gabriele who was his very close domestic attendant betrayed him to the press. In my personal opinion it was not any other thing that they wanted but to get information from his butler whether he was living a promiscuous life in order to scandalise the Church and harm it.They are ignorant of the words of Jesus in Mathew 16:18 And I tell you,you are Peter upon this Rock I will build my Church and the gates of hell will not defeat(scandalise)it.
In those days during the military rule in Nigeria prostitutes were paid huge amounts by SSS (State Security Service) to lure the retired Okojie Cardinal Anthony to rubbish his priesthood because they said he was talking too much but the Holy Spirit guided him.Rumours were flying all around by their propaganda machinery but all came to naught.
A priest once told me that every priest must draw a line in between their relationship with their female Parishioners and themselves as they must rubbish you when you have any intimate relationship with them.I hate writing about this but the Pieta says a priest who is not Holy will not draw enough blessings on his congregation when he invokes blessings on them. Why then suffer your congregation?
