RE: Palletshipping all the way!

Not necessarily. In Tibet, sticking one's tongue out is a sign of respect. I wouldn't be surprised at all if dragging someone by the ear is supposed to show affection. After all, Yugoslavians great each other by pinching the other's cheek. ^^

RE: Palletshipping all the way!

Wow, I wanna go to Tibet! :P But I don't wanna go to Yugoslavia...
I dunno, but ear pulling seems a bit too mean, especially because Brock makes comments like 'Ow, the ear!' and Misty still doesn't stop. BTW, I saw The Joy of Water Pokémon at the weekend and you're right, Misty did hold on to Brock's ear for a looooooong time.

And then when she let go, there was this big blister on it. That was so funny! I felt bad for Misty in that episode, though. And that doesn't happen very often.

RE: Palletshipping all the way!

I felt sorry for Brock in that episode, Misty just annoyed me. But then again, she always does. That episode was strange. Stupid Nurse Joy. I'm sorry, but her fear did get in the way, the dozy cow. Didn't she think of going someone else? Who cares about her mum and Grandmother, they weren't scared of water Pokémon, they had reason to stay.

RE: Palletshipping all the way!

And it was pretty rude to say "I hate water Pokemon!" when she knew damn well that Misty's Pokemon were all of the water type. Why couldn't she just say, "I'm afraid of water Pokemon"? It would have sounded much nicer. And why was she afraid of all water Pokemon, and not just Remorraid? I mean, the phrase "water Pokemon" covers a lot of ground.

Why did you feel sorry for Brock? He didn't even seem that infatuated with Joy, except for at the beginning.

RE: Palletshipping all the way!

I didn't like that Nurse Joy one bit. All the others are nice and kind and helpful and she's all like "Eew, get your horrible Pokémon away from me!" You're right, she should just be scared of Remoraid, because no other Pokémon scared her. Personally, I think Remoraid are really cute! ^_^ And is it all water Pokémon she's afraid, even mixed types like Chinchou? Anyway, who really cares about a meanie like that silly nurse Joy?
I felt sorry for Brock coz Misty was mean to his ear. That must of hurt for quite a while afterwards!

RE: Palletshipping all the way!

Yeah, she probably hates Chinchou, too. Which happens to be my favorite electric Pokemon. She hates mixed types, because Gyarados is a Water/Flying type. And she really hated Gyarados. Oh, and since when doesn't Misty like Gyarados, anyway? oO

Yes, Joy was a bitch, to say the least. She acted all wimpy and whiny, but I didn't feel sorry for her one bit.

RE: Palletshipping all the way!

I don't know how anyone could hate a cute little Chinchou. Gyarados I spose I can understand coz it's all big and scary, but I still don't think NJ should be afraid. Neither should Misty. That's so stupid, she's seen Gyarados before. If it'd been the first time then OK, fair enough, but she grew up in a water Pokémon gym for crying out loud! That's why I actually like manga Misty. She actually has a Gyarados and isn't all annoying and stupid.
I didn't feel sorry for NJ either. I think I just swore at the TV...

RE: Palletshipping all the way!

Oh, I know! She's a lot prettier in the manga, too. She doesn't have those God-awful suspenders. >_< And she doesn't look like a little fifth grader, either. NOBODY who reads the manga would think she was 10.

By the way, what does SNOG mean? That's been bothering me ever since I first read this topic, but I keep forgetting to ask you about it. ^^; I tried to figure it out on my own, but I give up. What is it?

I prefer Brock in the manga too. Ash and Gary are scary though, especially Gary. Oakie is scary too. And Tracey is non-exisistent. >:(
'To snog' means 'to kiss'. It's a nice British word, which is pretty much the only one I use for kiss. It can also mean 'a kiss' too, as in 'Give us a snog.' That's another typical English phrase there. Damn, I love living in England.

RE: Palletshipping all the way!

Oh...I thought it stood for something. ^_^; If they had kissed, it definitely would have been cut, anyway. But they didn't, because I would have heard about it from some rabid Palletshipper. I'm not exactly one myself, but I think it's a cute idea.

*sigh* I guess I'm just a hopeless romantic at heart. At least where Pokemon is concerned. ^_^;

RE: Palletshipping all the way!

Oh, if only they had kissed. How wonderful my life would've become. I've imagined an alternate ending in my head, where they do kiss and everything ends happily ever after. *Goes into a shounen ai induced daze...*
OK, back now. ^_^;; I reckon Pokémon has made me more romantic. Least I don't look away quite as often when people kiss in movies or whatever. Maybe I'm not as emotionless as I once thought...

RE: Palletshipping all the way!

I still get embarrassed when I see people kiss in real life. I'm used to it. At my school, there's this couple...It's really gross. My friend said, "You know, there's such thing as averting your gaze," but I feel as though I shouldn't have to, and that my personal rights are being violated.

Besides, I don't have to look at them. I can hear them. >_<

RE: Palletshipping all the way!

I go to an all girls' school, where'd we'd probably get suspended for doing something like that (kissing that is, not watching). We're not even allowed to wear trousers, I'm sure they wouldn't encourage anything "out of the ordinary" like that. Not that I'd want to. I have my rough book covered with bishonen, that's all I need!
You can hear them? Eww...

RE: Palletshipping all the way!

Yes, it's disgusting. And the horrible thing is, nobody even enforces those rules. Except the choir director. My best friend told me that when she sees them kissing, she drags them over to the principal's office. What I wouldn't give to have the guts to say, "Will you guys knock it off?" >_<

Do you go to a Catholic school?
