The moon landings are not a theory, they are historical fact. Because a few weird people have a problem in believing that fact, that is their problem, it doesn't make it a theory. WWl, WWll, Titanic, Great wall of China and Mt. Everest are not theories, even if some people - for whatever bizzare reason, don't believe in them. Simply because some nut in the world has a mental problem and refuses to accept a fact does not make the fact become a theory. Facts are facts. Period. |

Keith said hoax believers will never accept the moon landing no matter what, you said you just don't see what's so hard to believe we landed on the moon. I said I don't think it's hard to believe we landed on the moon either... And it's all about choosing a theory, means, there are the moon hoax theory claims, and there are the explanations for these (like in this site), for you I guess all the explanations seems much more realistic and reasonable, I think some of the explanations do abolish the claims, but there are still some claims that I don't see a good answer for them. So as I said everyone choose what they want to believe. By the way, as I know in the second moon landing the planted there a mirror, to measure the exact distance from earth to the moon, and they did use it and measured the distance of half light-second. So why don't they easily send there a laser beam to the mirror and get it back? I think it's a good way to prove they were there, maybe not for strong hoax believers, but by the results of your poll, they do need prove the people they did land on the moon. |

Laser beams are reflected back from the moon on a regular basis, yes even now, to measure the distance down to a centimetre. Research is such a useful tool, pity HB's don't use it. The measurements have proven that the moon is slowly moving away from us. Don't worry about the poll, it is too selective to have any relevance. The last national poll I saw came out as 6% thinking it was a hoax, and the question was even fixed because it didn't ask if you actually thought it was a hoax but if you thought it could have been faked. Lots of people think it could have been faked but don't believe for one minute it was. So the true percentage of HB's is well below 6% and probably below even 1% |

Oh, and birth of a missle defense system that the general populous would have not gone for before the Apollo missions. Defense contracts are a golden goose. But the moon landings were real!
