If you want to understand the universe read anything by the physicist Stephen Hawking. He's brilliant and can make the physics understandable to anyone with basic intelligence. 'Besides nothing can go BOOM! and theres the earth' yet creationists expect non-believers to believe such tripe. The universe was not magicked into existence by some great and powerful benevolent Oz. Please do yourself and the rest of us a favour and read a science book before attempting to argue the facts of science with atheists. There is infinitely more evidence for the Big Bang than there ever was of a God, gods or god. Gods are the products of human imagination and nothing more. We are the creators of our religions and our Gods. They are useful tools for keeping the uneducated in line and doing their part for society. And there is no evidence of an afterlife. All of medical science says that cognition is in the brain and when the brain dies, you die and that's it. Live your life now. You can be a decent, moral, happy individual without cluttering your mind up with the lie and nonsense of belief. |
