someone young, not a diva

I think the actress for Holly Short SHOULDN'T be someone really well-known. And it maybe shouldn't be a full-grown woman, either. It could be an older teen or something like that. I don't think it should be someone like Kirsten Dunst or Cameron Diaz because they are so famous and are pretty much know for being 'model-like,' and we all know Holly's not like that at all!

Seriously... I would much rather have someone who i have never ever heard of who has maybe never been in a main stream film play who can act and looks like holly (aka afro-american none of the pale airheads in the poll) play her. Seriosly... this book is kinda arty and sophisticated but i bet you mirimax is gonna turn it into an "action pacted adventure filling with needless explosions that will make money but digust the liturature junkies who loved the book" I mean seriously... the book has plenty of cool explosions and stuff and quite a bit of slapstick hurmor, but seriously if you look realy deep into it, the are some serious emotions going on that i doubt the movie dudes will be able to catch. Seriously... it should be some like 20 year old who none of us have never heard of. seriously.

RE: someone young, not a diva

It is common forum ettiquette to read through many, if not all of the topics to get a feel for what is going on and how people feel about what to talk about and what not to talk about so as not to step on any toes. She obviously did not. Neither did you for that matter. Even if I happen to agree with somebody, it does not make it any less rude to break up the flow of the forum with something that nobody here cares about. Most people post their opinion in a brand new topic, then leave. They could go way back to the first pages and leave their opinion in one of the topics entitled 'Who do you think should play Holly Short?'
