No, she isn't Irish and the would have Root in it because they're probably only doing book 1 in the movie... That way if it sells good they could do the whole series (not like A Series of Unfortunate Events [they ruined it terribly!]). Also, Kierra Knightly would be terrible! Eoin Colfer wants an American to be her number one, and number two is that Holly isn't docile. I know Kierra Knightly isn't docile but her looks are. Holly has full lips, auburn hair (crew-cut!), cocky and humorous (even if we don't agree, that fits the average American [ no offense meant seeming as I AM American)hazel eyes, pointy ears, chestnut skin color, gymnast stance, one meter (three feet) height (can be done digitally), and DOESN'T care for orders (Wikipedia will back me up as will the books) Without ANY of those, it won't be Holly you're staring at but an actress with make -up and probably a wig. Not so good. I know that we each make a portfolio of Holly in our heads (my Holly had spiky red hair a few inches long, deep red) and that the movie can't do All of our Holly's justice, BUT the least they can do is stick with the book. |
