But here's an interesting article by Roger Ebert that's quite good (surprisingly good out of him) about Gun Culture and Violence. Yes, it's all fine and good but what does the Leege think? Whelp... All over the world people are basically the same (biology, genetics), therefore you would expect to find similar levels of violence committed by "mental defectives" across the human cultural spectrum. But the reality is, violence among cultures varies dramatically. Therefore you would think this variance is culturally induced. The question movies like 'Columbine' and people like Ebert are attempting to understand is, HOW? What is it about any particular culture that causes it to be unusually violent? Violent Culture = Violent Media = Violent Art (movies). Art reflects Culture, not vice versa like the gasbag moralists pimping their God-agenda would have you believe. That Marilyn Manson guy is right on here, check out his clip below. So what's the solution? I don't know. Neither do the gasbags or the Republicrats or whoever. I'm pro-gun, and I thought Moores movie was fantastic. He's a very boring man who likes chick flicks ! Back when we were kids I'm sure the only groups we were involved in were "dungeons and dragons" crap ... "Atart freaks" or into some sort of sport or that of play guys (cops and robbers) we didn't go around finding other friends to put out our fellow classmates with a couple of slugs . It seemed so easy for them . Where do these kids come from ?!?!? "Hey you wanna go out and kill everyone at school today ? " "Yeah sure it would be fun ! " You can't tell me noone smelt it coming ?
