Absolutely, ATF. If Gore could have won his own state, it would be a moot point.

As far as the Bush drinking problem, I believe that it was a green party candidate from Maine, Johnathan Carter, who spilled the beans about Dub Ya getting an OUI (operating under the influence) about 2 weeks before the election. And it happened here in Maine. He was out having some din din, some beers, then some apres din din drinks in Kennebunk. He decided to drive the old mans car home out to the complex, but was swerving like Cleo in a groin hold, so the locals pulled him over.

Hey listen, I'm neither a registerd dem or Rebub. I vote the way I want to vote, but I do always vote. You might be right in one of your earlier posts I read, saying that about August or Sept, of 2004, George Jr, is gonna say, "Here they are...the weapons of mass destruction, I was talking about". On 9/15ish/2001, I would have guessed that dubya would be reelected by a record landslide vote...just because he was the our prez, and the country needed to hear some comforting words at the time. Now, I believe he's fighting for his political life.

BTW, I'm old enough to remember 35 years ago...november, 1963, and where I was. Wasn't that your first year of collecting Social Security ATF??...

Dam, lighten up..it was a joke!!!

Also, other then d day..I might be wrong, but 12/7 was also the anniversity of John Lennons death, no?

Actually, I think that might have been 12/8/1980

PS...a good friend of mine, who I grew up with here in maine, and played basketball, baseball, and chased women with, has written a book about Auddie Murphy and WW2. he just E mailed me and has been picked up by Merriam Press ...he's now living in germany, and if anyone requests, I'll post the link for the book. My old man fought in WW2, I love history, and found the book very interresting.

RE: back atcha, bro

I'll never forget the day Lennon got wasted .
What a friggin buzzkill that was ! I was in the 3rd or 4th grade and aside from me being a huge fan of the Beatles and John's solo music I remember teachers , busdrivers and the rest of the world walking around like sad zombies .
The next day my mother took us to a book store because she needed to buy something and my brother who idolized Lennon grabbed a book off the shelf about his life.
It was like 24 hours later they already had bio's and memorial books ready to go ?

Anyways my brother who was only 2 years older than me placed the book on the counter and the old clerk at the counter laughed and asked " I don't know why so many people are upset about this ? " He babbled other things until finally my Mom had it with him . What a way to talk to a customer ready to buy something from your store ? Bad idea ...

Oh man , my mother gave it to that guy but good. I've never heard a mother yell such profanity at someone especially considering she always told us to respect our elders .
Basically , the guy shrunk right infront of our eyes and she made the guy look like **** infront of the whole store.

" How can you laugh about something like this ... he's just a kid you (&$%#*#$%*U$*U%#*U$*)%#*)$%#)$**$@_- .... "

Sad how some people who don't understand don't feel the need to when someone like that loses his or her life . And even worse to laugh at a little kid while doing so .

And to top it off I thought it was my chance to get a jab in and I gave the man the finger as we left and as my Mom threw the book at him . Believe it or not I got introuble for doing that when we got home ! (LOL)

I was more ****ed off because I had a SRW mag in my hand ready to be bought ! But, in the heat of battle my Mom told me to put it back as she pulled us down the isle .

Yep December is a happy month , but sad just the same because of many things .

December is BITTERSWEET!

Dec. 21 marks the 15th anniversary of my dad "buying the farm". He was thrown into rush hour traffic by Romanian bikers (dad never could keep his big mouth shut). Even though my father was truly a sadistic bastard among bastards, I still miss the old man (sort of).

Yeah, it's tough around Christmas time...

...It's tough to deal with the death of a loved one at any time, let alone during Christmas time.

And that's extra tough.

Sorry that happened to your father, Wise, just three days before The Big Day.

Junior's 1 1/2 years old ?

So here's hopin' Wise, Jr., has a good Christmas, along with you, too.

Thanks, Tangler

Yeah, he was like Father Christmas, so it made it especially hard. I never got to tell him if we were having a boy or a girl, found out the next week that it was a girl. She smiles when she sees his picture so I can only guess she tagged in when he was tagging out. God he woulda loved that kid....
