Happy New Year

It's 5.15am as I write this in the UK, having just returned back from a New Year's Eve party.

Thought I'd wish everyone who has contributed to this website and message board a very happy New Year.

I'm going to bed now, happy in the fact that I have been able to persuade a numerous amount of women to lez it up big style whilst dancing at the party I attended, and I took my digital camera! What a cad!¬ But what an achievement too.

Best wishes for 2004... could this year announce the return of the old Dio with a copious amount of time on his hands to cause trouble and accuse Fluffy of being a feminist... who knows?

RE: Happy New Year

Happy New Year to you as well Dio, and thanx for creating a board where we can all be...well...ourselves! I look forward to you being more of a contributor in 2004, and also look forward to your annual July 4th post, when you will most likely reel in another fish with your "What's all this crap about Independence Day' post.

It's about 1:15 AM in the NE USA now, I bartended the dinner hour (pulled a 4 to 10) at the local dive tonight and made a couple hundred tax free dollars. Life is good, but am glad to be home and off the roads. My significant other is out partying. She has a purse full of cash (cab fare), her car is parked right next to mine in the driveway so I don't have to worry about her driving, and she's got Thursday off, so I don't expect I'll see here for hours. S'OK..I love having the house to myself and the dogs sometimes.

Now..to my buds

1) ATF...I'm glad to see we both made it through another year! I have had some medical problems in the last year (nothing what you have been through) but as they say..only the good die young. I suspect you and I will be talking for many, many, more years to come. And notice I have been quiet on the Pats lately? LOL...I know Tom Brady is a Michigan boy, you post that 5 times a day...LOL..thankfully, he got up here in the NE. I may be wrong, but I belieive he was a 4th round draft pick. He's ruling NE right now. Phenominal season, 14-2, we'll see how it plays out. Hmmm...pitchers and catchers report next month for spring training...Yup, bazeball my favorite sport...and been berry berry good to me. Happy New Year, Mr Fonz!

2) Killah..My favorite person to read on these boards. You're the only one with wurst (ahem) spelling then me. But you have some great points sometimes, and you are passionette about what you believe in. Seeing how you only live about a 2 and a half hour drive from me, it would only make sense that we hook up one of these days in '04. Happy New Year, bud!

3) Legion...If there's anyone who I would love to sit down with and break bread (or wind) with, it would be you. I have no idea how old you are (I'm guessing older then me) but, like JSK, you show a great passion in what you believe. Good enough for me.

4)Wiseguy...like JSK, why haven't we all hooked up? Let's make it a priority to get JSK!!!!!!!!

RE: Happy New Year

2:07 in the am (est)...VP Rough checking in, having just returned from my New Year's festivities. Let's see...two lovely Sam Adams Octoberfest Brews, one Lowenbrau, one Belgian beer, I forget the name..started with a "C" (was rather sweet and quite tasty), a lemon drop, some French wine that my friends just brought back (the bouquet smelled like fresh bananas)...and of course champagne at midnight (never cared much for the stuff but Brut's not bad).

Cheers and Happy New Year everyone!

RE: Happy New Year

Spence, thx for the nice post. Did I ever tell ya Brady was a Mi.....er, hehehehe...
o.k., hope all is well for you. I'm o.k., and yes, IF the old Billy Joel song is correct, you and I and leege will live to a hundred!
I agree on our pal killer. As cool a guy as is around.
I too hope the good Dr posts more often. Fessor Dio and Vike are here far too seldom and perhaps that will change. I also would like a return of the Bear.
As a kid baseball was my favorite game. May be making a comeback in my life, I don't know. Hell, even the Tigers are looking better.
My resolutions for the New Year:
*Lose 30 pounds
*Get the stupid-ass VA to get to work on my back, which is killing me, now that my brain tumor and cancer is in check (I hope).
*Agree with fluffy more often. Seems to get under his skin hehehe...
*Support Dio/Rough (more interesting than Bush/Dean)
*Travel some, starting with Florida this month, then to Wyoming/Montana....
*Lay off that other bored. Actually - and I hate to say this - but if dorky Jabberwonky weren't posting, that bored would be so dull it'd be like reading the script of that Affleck-J Lo flick.
*Spend more time than ever with my kids and grand-baby.
*Bop on over to Hutch's place, crash for a night and steal his Jim Beam hehehe
*Try to head on up to Maine and let a professional pour my Bacardi & Coke on ice (not shaken, not stirred: lotsa ice...call it the Fonz special)
*Try not to smirk when the Sox and Pats win (WG, Spence & Killer'll do enough of that). Oh, did I mention Brady is from....hehehee

RE: Happy New Year

Happy New Year to all! Well it will be happy for me once I get over this wicked hang over, ouch!

Thanks for the site Dio, it's nice to have a fun little playground like this :-)

Oh and Chin, do remember....black & white shall be no more in 2004! :-)

Sorry folks, I would normally post some pics, but just the light from the screen is killing me right now. So take a rain check for that.

a Very Happy and Good New Year as well...

As for my "good" ol' buddy the one and only Legionnaire there,...well, this one's for you
Leege:

"Who you callin' a moron, doofus ??? !!! ..."

But here's wishin' you a Happy New Year, too.

RE: Happy New Year

To ATF and Spence,

Tom Brady is NOT a Michigan boy. True, he played QB in Ann Arbor for 2 years, but like most good QB's he was groomed here in sunny California. He attended Serra High (Lynn Swann, Barry Bonds, etc.), just across the bay from the Bear and then went to San Mateo J.C. for 2 years.

Why Cal failed to recruit him is beyond me, but Cal had a penchant for overlooking local players who "weren't good enough to play at Cal" but somehow wound up in the NFL. Maybe those days are over for awhile.

I haven't seen you guys in atleast a year

Well its now January 2nd 2004 and I have finally returned home from partying !!!

Oh , I'd sound more like Leege if I told ya what I did or didn't do .
Although not sleeping during the 12 o'clock hour there wasn't a bit of booze or partying in my system ! Well , possibly from the night before when I really tore it up and laughed at a few friends that puked all over themselves : )
(Yes , Wiseguy you met one of them !)

I sat home with the wifey watching X-men part duece and Bruce Almighty ! Yeeee f-ing haw !
Seriously , I had no need to go out dispite all the people I told " Yeah , we might stop by .... blah , blah ... "
News flash *** I didn't care ! I'm old now and more wise and lame just as I always said I wouldn't be : )

F-that . And after sitting through those two movies we played the new gift "trivial prosuit the 20 years addition " into the wee hours of the night/morning .
I had my wife beat after only a few questions , but seeing I couldn't land on the right F-in color the game went on and on and on . Finally , I had to resort to cheating : )
I guess thats why they call them bored games.
Oh and then come to find out we were playing the game wrong . Figures .

Sounds like eveyone made it outta 2003 ok .
Great and lets keep it all going in 04 .
You know DIO/ROUGH 2004 . Its funny what you learn and get out of a simple little board like this one , but more so its good to meet some people that are real . REAL MEAN !! :)

Spence thanks for wanting to hang without me having to pay you . (LOL) Sure , would love to go get a beer or fifteen . We'd have to get Wiseguy in on this one too . Although you better watch him or he'll suck down your brew if you look a way even for a second !!!
He actually keep it cool the night we hung so we'll have to get him in on an all nighter.

Once again thanks Dio for drafting us into your fine army of minkies . And if you don't think anyone will ask about seeing a pic or two from newyears your high man .
LETS SEE EM ! I love watching chicks make out . That by far is the coolest thing .
Well , me and two chicks all making out would be cooler .
Fuzz out the faces , blank out the eyes (make it look like a cencorship pic) I wanna see your party harim !
Dio's girls gone wild !

Ok , folks and Fonz I'm off to go search for free pics of women sitting on each others faces and totally humiliating each other .
(Did I say that out loud? )

And Leege thanks for the GROOVY spin on things . I know why you did it . Thinking
some poor hung over bastard would look at it and get sick !

Tehehe ... funny .

Later peeps ~

Best to you'all in the new one

Thanks to you guys, you're all great in your own special way. I appreciate the shouts out from Maine and Mass and all across these great states. I've been playing Max Payne 2 the last 3 hours and i'm a bit f#$#ed up now but I'll try to write more later. I got baby duty tomorrow as my wife has to go back to work after getting it off paid from her job since 12/24; nice to work for a non/profit. I'm taking the day to recover from these horrible holidays...But I hope you all enjoyed yourselves, especially you Field Marshall, I know how stuffy your countrymen and women can be. Jolly oh, etc...

RE: Happy New Year

I'll be damned if i know what happened to the rest of my post on New Yrs Eve. Somehow it got cut off when I hit "submit comment" It was cut in the middle of my paragraph to wiseguy. It was all babble anyway..I think it was suppose to read in 04 "get together with wiseguy and jsk and go to fenway, or something like that.

Yeah, Bear, I'm aware Brady is from Cal. He was walking the sidelines yesterday during the Rose Bowl. (Sorry to bring up bad memories about that game, ATF) He's no more of a Michigan boy or New England boy, then, say Ted Williams is a Boston guy (San Diego) But they have a tunnel named after Ted now, in Beantown, and if Brady keeps winning, he might get the same. As Jerry Seinfeld says...we are all just cheering for laundry, anyway. Baseball I cheer for red, football, silver and blue, basketball, green, and hockey gold and black. Anyway, Bear, good to see you and have a happy new year.

And to all the other 'regs' as I stated above, my long, long, post got cut off...sorry, so in short...Cleo, Dr Chin, Rough, Tang, Big Chris, Steve, and everyone else I might have missed...A Happy And Healthy 04 to all of you.

thank you, thank you very much!

DIO/ROUGH 2004

And so the revolution begins! This is OUR YEAR! Thanks to Killer and Fonz for their ongoing support! Next year at this time, people everywhere will be sitting in their comfy chairs, eating Battenberg and saying, "What in the blue blazes were we doing last year at this time, before those stalwart lads Dio and Rough came along and straightened things out?"

Assuming Dio has fully recovered from his New Year's revelries and will even be reading this, I think we need to be considering a few appointments to the "offices of pompous suits". I think that Killer would make a splendid Drug Czar. He would also be good to have around to warm up the crowds before rallies. Let's face it, people love to laugh and Killer is a FUNNY FELLOW. He may even be funny looking (if we're quite lucky)...so he may not even have to put that much work into it!

Leege could be our "Minister of Angry, Scary Speeches" and we could wheel him out every time we want to gently remind the whoring masses how godawful things were before we came along. Perhaps Leege could also make us some posters (if he buys the paint).

Would it be too much to ask that our political party have a very lovely mascot? I think that blonde babydoll Vira (of ECNWC fame) would be an excellent choice. I'm sure Dio would concur. She is beautiful, a fierce competitor, is (probably) quite bright, and she always seems to be wearing colorful pink thongs and getting into it with other comely lasses. She may be the perfect woman. Could you not see her in our political ads, sporting a tiny "Dio/Rough" tee shirt...eating Battenberg and exclaiming, "Who says you can't have your cake and eat it too?" Vira can also pass out balloons and buttons.

We will need to organize some fundraisers and, aside from dwarf tossing with Zip the Tiny Wonder, I'm completely open to suggestions. Once we're on the campaign trail, with Vira by our side, I'm sure we'll come up with some other "creative" ideas.

The War with the Chin Empire drags on and I would be open to some "creative alternatives" to what seems like a hopeless quagmire. At risk of being called a "mamby pamby peacenik", I would be open to the possibility of brokering a peace agreement and cease fire...a compromise! I propose a new pallette with a particular emphasis on warm earth tones like burnt sienna and raw umber. By God, we can work it out...I know we can!

RE: Happy New Year

All this is nice and everything, but would Tongue tangler make a resolution? Like, for instance,

A) when some supposed female asks about the ladies corner at Barbs board, maybe he could hold his tongue and not feal he has to reply. (is he a member of the ladies site, is he a lady, or is he Rush Limbaugh?) KaaaaRiest!

b)Stop trying to talk sports on Barbs board. Tang's last post to Grant showed how little he knows about this subject. Er, um, it was something like, astro turf in Dallas for their 'bowl' game, too funny. Stick to what you know Tangled one.

c)Continue to search the web for links.

d)Continue to grease up jabroni.
