As I have stated numerous times, I supplement my income with an under the table, bartending gig on Sat nights at a local Sports Bar. We have 10 TV's and satellite....the smallest TV, is right above the cash register, and I did have that game on, well the first period anyway, and was watching for an unruly, 50is looking guy, wearing Red Wing Colors, causing hate and discontent. I thought I might have had you picked out midway through the first, some guy with a plate of nachos and a half spilled bear, was screaming at the linesman...but nahh, couldn't have been you. Hope you had fun...whenever I go to pro games these days, my nephew who is now 20, always gets a free ride as far as tix and food...all he has to do is be the driver, we drink like we are kids, eat like we are in perfect shape, and always stop at the strip clubs on the way home. (reliving lost youth, I guess) My prediction about Edwards below in another post was wrong, I guess. Looks like its Kerry. Latest polls have him way ahead in NH with only a few days left. I'll be glad when all these political a hole media people get the hell out of MY New England, G O D D A M it!! Apocalypse Now is on Bravo, as I type, and I must get back to watching... talk to ya... Then again, hockey's a funny game. 50 shots by the good guys, 13 for Phoenix. Yeach... Still, I had a good time until riding to the restaurant with my son & his g/f. You havent lived until your barrelling down a highway @80 miles an hour with a p-i-ssed off Wings fan. Now, hockey teams ride on a hot goalie and Manny Legace is hotter than CuJu. So, put Manny in until the Dominator returns. Then, like I told some smart azz 'Otes fans: See ya in the playoffs. Oops,you guys prolly aren't GOING to the playoffs! Funniest line of the night (if I do say so myself) was directed toward the idiot behind me who kept saying "hey, these Wings fans think they're surrounding us, but we're surrounding THEM!" To which I nimbly retorted: "You aren't Baghdad Bob are ya?"LOL Remember, Spence: He who laughs last laughs best. Also: Never hitch a ride with a Wings fan after the Red & White just tanked. Basically , you can praise your team for becoming a spectical for a couple thousand people watching while we become a spectical for millions watching !!! TA HA !!! Actually , I was gonna tape the game and ask you where you were sitting and try and pan in , stop the tape just to see what Fonzamatic really looks like !?!? You guys! hehehe... o.k., so it wasn't the Super Bowl (an over touted usually boring game - though not lately), but ya - kids don't know that it isn't the end of the world Hey, when I was a kid I used to love to watch the Tigers crunch the Yankees, which they often did. See, the local team loves to beat the biggest & baddest. Also, every dog has its day. The Phoenix goalie, Boucher, is hot right now. When he cools off (and they all do -- CuJo was about the hottest thing going for a time when he was with the Blues), he'll be just another stiff with pads. AND, if you saw the game, most ofthe shots happened to be right at him. Hell, Killer'd be able to deflect most of them. As far as being a poor loser; hey, I'm sure we've all gone through that. Could be worse. We could be, like, French. Then we'd ALWAYS be a loser! hehehe later, atf |
