vcr alert?

I know this is late and I'm not sure if it's going to be any good, but on The John Henson Project (I think that's the right name) they are advertising that they are going to have a catfight on the show. The show is something like the "Man Show" on Comedy Central, so if that's the case it might be worth watching...even if it's fake the girls should be cute. But then again, you know how these usually turn out to be busts.

In my are it's playing on Spike TV at 10pm EST.

Thanks-

RE: vcr alert?

A waste of time. The guests were two stunt women who engaged in a 'spontaneous' fight when both were asked who they were for in the superbowl. Done in the style of wild west brawls with chairs broken over the heads with unlikely switches to karate kicks.

On a related note, this show is STUPID generally. I think they host could be funny, but it's obvious he has no budget. This thing can't hold a candle to the Man Show.

It is SAD! :(

The much ballyhooed "John Henson Show" is such a DISAPPOINTMENT! I watched the "catfight" while having my evening snack of Ritz crackers and Tang (the drink). My BIGGEST problem with said show? NO MUPPETS! I think this John Henson is the illegitimate son of Muppet man Jim Henson (RIP). I read that somewhere (or maybe I dreamed it). Regardless, THIS SHOW NEEDS MUPPETS! Muppets are HILARIOUS. In addition, they're easy to work with. All you have to do is find a few people to stick their fist up their bum. We should write to John Henson and say:

Dear John..You need some Muppets like your dad had! Muppets are AWESOME! My favorite of all time is Kermit (the song "It's Not Easy Being Green" still makes me cry). Gonzo is a close second! Muppets filled my heart with joy and cheered me up when I was low. PUT SOME MUPPETS ON THAT SORRY EXCUSE FOR A SHOW! Try to get Kermit if you can! I can see no reason why not..did you not get custody of Kermit when your dad croaked? (no pun intended). You seem like a fine fellow John Henson, but you are a DISGRACE to the memory of your father with your bawdy humor! Muppets could save you!

That's the gist of it. I can always tweak the letter a little. I had better get it out quick, because his show may be cancelled by the time he gets it.

RE: vcr alert?

Alright listen up all you American's ! Its me senitor John Kerry and I can't believe you guys wasted your time glued to your television to watch that .

Thanks a lot Kent . I'm a powerful man and am next in line to be president . But , you made me waste valuable time campaining ! See what a waste of a half hour did for my votes in New Hampshire ?

I see Howard Dean is telling jokes now to ease his wildness ? Jokes ? You want jokes ?
That VCR alert was just like WMD .
Couldn't be found !
Drop Bush and go for me ! Christ even you Canadian's on this board should back me and tell them all the same . I still play hockey .

I'm a snazzy guy and heck if I win I'll boost little Zip on my shoulders in victory !
To do so before could ruin my chances and seem almost similar to a Dean outburst .

I'll let it slid if you could spare me a vote?

Prepare for battle John Kerry!

Not even your proclivity for scantily clad bimbettes beating the Beejesus out of one another will save you in this race! Dio and Rough will KICK YOUR ARSE! Pick any running mate you want...psycho puppy Dean, Mayberry wanna be Edwards, original gangsta Sharpton....it doesn't matter! Come November, a new order will rise and smite out the banal, black and white mediocrity!

Furthermore, you won't lay a finger on our boy Zip! The pint sized laddy is on our side all the way. He may not be the brightest bulb but he is loyal, studious and damn handy to have around (especially when we need someone especially petite to sneak in behind enemy lines).

Dio's hutzpa, moxy, and extra twitchy mustache have already made Hussein have second thoughts about jumping into the fray. Pah! Coward...obviously has "mustache envy"!

Once we take you out Kerry, we clear the field for the main event....DIO v. DUBYA! Can't you see that first debate? By the time Dio's done with him, Bushie won't even know his own name! Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha (maniacal laugh)!

RE: vcr alert?

I think Dio should drop you from his bid -

Rough blasts,

By the time Dio's done with him, Bushie won't even know his own name! Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha (maniacal laugh)!

Your last statement and way you ended your speach sounds a little Deanish ?
If I can't beat Bush at the elections we will instead have my lovely wife and the 1st lady go at it . No holds bard !
So step aside little man . And I didn't mean Zip !

Please register to vote this year Rough .

John Kerry? Busted, JSK

Sorry, dude, but your writing style is too obvious for regular visitors to this board. LMAO, especially your spelling!

senitor

campaining

(Sorry, was an English minor, communications major)

Not giving you ****, brother, just teasing. So Kerry wins NH, super Tuesday coming! God, I love this ****!!!

The small things is life excite me! Not that this is small s h i t, but election years bring out the best and worst in people. I'm talking everyday life. We talk about it at work, we talk about it when we are out playing. Bush is ripe to be beaten. And it's my opinion he will. Gephart might be a good VP. Woohoooo, I love watching history being made!

Spence

PS:

I've got big bucks on the Pats to cover the spread (7). Well, not big bucks, but, enough so that, if I win, I would be changing my April vacation from Cape Cod to Myrtle Beach! Hey, that's the difference between driving down to the Cape for a 4 day weekend, or flying into Myrtle Beach for a week.

Rough, you live in the Carolina's? Would you put up myself and three of my buds for a week? We'll eat out every night, but if you could have coffee, cereal, and muffins in the morning, it would be appreciated. I'll bring some DWW tapes in exchange.

Congratulations on New Hampshire!

Yes, goody for you...winning the state where everone's brain is in in a deep freeze!

Your fight is just starting, buddy boy! Dio and I will trounce you, whetting our appetite for Dubya!Crazy am I?? Crazy like a fox! There's no way Dio will dump me. Who do you think provides him with inside dope on ECNWC? Who do you think buys the wax for his lovely mustache? Who do you think laughs heartily (and quite convincingly) at some of his especially bad jokes? It is I...the ying to his yang..the Simon to his Garfunkel..the Segfried to his Roy!

ECNWC babydoll Vira has already said that she will jello wrestle BOTH the Bush twins in a kiddie pool (Zip shall provide the kiddie pool...and the jello). Vira's already isssued the challenge and those inebriated Bush girls are ducking us! Yes, I forgave Vira for the Battenberg "incident" where she nearly burned down my house. She's back in our camp. Hey, sex sales...and we at campaign headquarters are not above taking her on the long campaign trail to take on all comers (she can make up some flyers during down time). The basic set up will have the guys debating the economy, current events (boring stuff like that), and then Vira coming out in bra and panties to beat the crap out of the candidates' wives. I don't think that any other candidate has ever done something so DARING and SEXY (although there are those persistent rumors about Pat Nixon). Howsabout Mrs. Kerry? Would she be up for a little catfight? Does she look hot (or at least presentable) in frilly lingerie? On second thought, she's probably slightly north of fifty, isn't she? Got any hot daughters??

Spence..you snuck in....

Yes, I live in the Carolinas..but the wrong Carolina if you want to be anywhere near Myrtle. It's about a six hour drive from my house. Hell, I'm practically into Virginia! I'm not a football fan..but I would love to see the Panthers win it!

You and your cohorts can stay with me (provided there are no felons amongst you). I don't care for coffee, though...sorry! You guys can help Vira and I blow up balloons for our first big rally. Vira's sucking on helium right now and singing show tunes (she's so cute).

Felons?

Ahhh, you are in NC?

No, there are no felons in my little golfing group. Well, CONVICTED felons, anyway. My record is clean (semi) and all of my court appearances back in the 70's were wiped from my record...statute of limitations. There were many minor skirmishes, but let's put that all behind us, shall we?

All kidding aside, I know you are very left wing, Rough, does Edwards have any chance at all? Down in your neck of the woods, you have a better idea of what this guy is all about, then myself. Clinton, in '92 came out of NH with some momentum, and went into Super Tues, and the rest as they say, is history. Believe me, I'm not sold on Edwards, but I'm sold out on Dub Ya. Be interrested to hear your take on him, and the other demos you support.

Spence

PS: Lucky for you, you don't like coffee. I guess we'll probably have to stay in a hotel/motel.

Be well

RE: vcr alert?

Yeah Rough it should have been obvious from the second or third line . Wasn't like I didn't want anyone to know I was playing a duel role of good guy bad guy ...
Good guy = JSK
bad guy = Kerry

Was actually gonna click spell check for once seeing Kerry's such a genious , but I kinda wanted the props for the joke I made about Kent's alert and WMD . Come on you atleast smiled I bet !!!

Old Kerry ...
He really spanked em all up here , but I'm sure once they get down south he'll have problems with Edwards and Clark . Or is it just in the bag now for him ? I'm telling you he's an evil cartoon character !!!!!!

I didn't know you were from Panther town Rough ? And although you bet for the Pats you don't want them to win ?!?!?!
You darn bandwagon jumper-oner you !!! Using our great team for finincial stability !!!
I'm not talking nice to you until after sunday : )~

If Henson just said we're gonna have two stunt women in here we'd all have a chance to save the expense of watching and waiting : )
And getting posts from John Kerry .

RE: vcr alert?

Spence ,
We can guess Edwards will do ok down south , but with noone believing Kerry could do it so well thus far whos to say ?

I like Kerry but for whats he's done for this state I don't think his record is standard for presidency . Not that alot of past pres. records are when they were senators etc .
But thats part of the problem . We forget to quickly and go with the flow .

I like Edwards . Smart young and actually a nice guy . He's the type of guy that won't cut a fart in the morning because he would think its wrong though! (LOL)
Is this guy too goody goody ?
Thats the problem I have with him .

I bet his hidden lifestyle is dildo's and hookers or some crazy ****e like that ..tehehe

I may just vote for Sharton .

Edwards and the other Demos

Well, about a year ago I was pretty psyched about the prospect of Edwards. But when he supported the war in Iraq that kind of turned me against him. He does seem like a decent guy (despite the fact he's a lawyer). He comes from humble beginnings (his dad was a mill worker). If you were from around my neck of the woods, you would realize that Edwards is really the epitome of a certain type of NC businessman who used his wits and intelligence to get to the top..really fighting to climb out of the lower middle clss trap, and never forgetting where he came from. I like the guy a lot but agree with Killer that he may be a little "too nice"..he may not be able to really get down and fight later on. He just seems a little too young and inexperienced (you can almost imagine him being one of Opie Taylor's classmates). When he supported the war, a friend of mine emailed him about it. To his credit, Edwards responded, but in his response he just came across as someone who was too much of a kiss up, who would easily "fall in" when he had to.

I like some of the fiery banter Sharpton's engaged in (loved it when he told Bill Maher he would send Bush Jr. and Sr. to Mars). He's vehemently agaisnt the Iraq War and all for placing renewed emphasis on the economy and jobs. But unfortunately, he's one of these that I know doesn't stand a chance. Sort of like Lieberman (who I think far less of because he says he's a Dem, but sure acts like a Republican). Dean really had my attention there for a while, before his righteous indignation and passion turned into psychosis! I think he's sliding out of the picture.

For me, it really boils down to Clark and Kerry..and I've felt that way for a while now. It kind of goes back and forth. I like them both and think either would give Bush a good run. Of the two, I really like Clark more as a person. But, I think I know that Kerry's probably going to get the nomination. Clark is backed by some of Clinton's people (which is good and bad I suppose..considering how much Clinton polarized people). That's fine with me, personally. Hell, I'd still be voting for Clinton if I could (that's how much of a pinko leftie I am) LOL!

I'm living in the ultra conservative Bible belt...this is Bush country. My mom just loves the guy and it drives me nuts (although she is starting to come around a little..I'll win her over by November). Even if NC native Edwards got the nomination, Bush has got NC in the bag I think..despite the record unemployment here (I'm in that demographic, by the way), and the fact that Bush seemingly couldn't care less. The only time he comes here is for a quickie fundraiser. Bush is using fear to create a kind of blind spot to all his many shortcomings and the plethora of other real problems we have. He is SO appallingly and unapologetically out of touch. He just shamelessly caters to that top 20%..the epitome of the "tricle down Republican". I mean, Reagan and Bush Sr. were bad, but Dubya is just unbelievable! I honestly can't see how he's still as popular as he is. The unnecessary war in Iraq, the economy that's shaky at best, his awful environmental record that's set things back at least 30-40 years, and the way in which he's alienated so many countries with his "go it alone" attitude. Although, I loved seeing Saddam get his, I certainly don't feel any "safer", now. I would have concentrated all our resources on al Queda/Bin Laden and we probably would have totally dismantled them by now. Over two years since Sept 11 and still no Bin Laden? That's just unacceptable. I'm afraid Bush will get another four years, but the way the fickle political game changes almost on a daily basis, anything could happen between now and November. I think a real winning ticket for the Dems would be Kerry/Edwards. That could be the one that gets them the White House, if Edwards stays fairly strong and doesn't drop off a lot. It's a good pairing if you think about it, always so important in these damn things. It would be a good balanced ticket with Kerry being from the north and Edwards the south. Between the two, the could carry quite a few states. Quess we'll stay tuned and see what happens!
