After all this is a cool hang out spot and I consider most (if not all) friends in some odd,weird,funny,crazy,abnormal......way. It is confirmed . This Decemeber JSK will be a DADDY : )~ I'm totally excited and although MRS.JSK and I were planning on waiting a few more months,years this comes as a joyful surprise. At the moment all I've been doing is thinkng of names. I dunno for some reason the wife just isn't too keen on them either? You wouldn't believe some of the God awful names I've come up with mostly for ****s and giggles. Billy bob Leroy Jesus JSK jr. JFK Sven The list goes on but I won't bore ya. I have told a few people some of the names and when they laughed I said "Whats wrong with that name? Do you think I'm kidding?" And for some reason all the girly names resemble that of porn stars so maybe I'll allow her to name "her" if its a she. At any rate this talk of war, corruption and all makes one think. I do know I'd love my kid to grow up in a 100% happy world, but know thats nearly impossible. Thats why until he or she is the age of 18 they will live in a bubble like John Trevolta did in that awful 70's film! Ok, not really. At the moment I am re-arranging the "porn-room/spare room which will soon be his or her bedroom. Right now it looks like a high school kids room with all the Hendrix posters, clockwork orange memorabelia and tapes up the kazoo. I've got Curt Cobain and Jimi Hendrix's grave rubbings on the wall, but the wifey says its all gotta go ! (Or atleast move from that room) Now it'll be Sesame Street and Barney garbage? F-that. I'm now in the process of creating my own kid charater because I think those bastards are not good enough ! It'll take me a few months to figure out what stays and what goes in the house. What the hell I got atleast a few years before the kid actually knows what a bong or pipe is, but that too is being moved to an undisclosed area of the house and/or shed. Also, I'm now smoking outside. Thank God it was 80 degree's out today. Its already been a strange vibe throughout the house. Ok, just a little FYI. I know theres a few other new parents and pro's at the game. I'm sure I'll be asking a thousand zillion questions in the weeks/months and years to come. Just wanted to share some actual joy for once. I remember those days when everyone else was married and we were not. It was worse than Prince Charles and Dianna over here once we did get hitched. Ok , they spent more than us on their wedding, but other than that I still think we were a better looking couple ;) I can totally see what cha mean. We will now HAVE to go out for a few drinks (times 2) this summer while I still can! Thanks dude! I can remember back when you had your first and can only hope I'm just as happy as you were and still are. Fonz . Your advise as usual is well taken. Especially the last paragraph ! I'm sure being any type of Dad, even a granddad is two of the best things to feel in the world. I'm happy I'll get to finally experience the first for now. Don't rush me !!! I promised myself I wouldn't cry and I rarly do, but let me tell ya all the comments mean a lot. Reminds me of the time I was driving back from picking up the kids at school (long time ago) I had a pickup with a camper shell, the kids loved to ride back there. I'm playing tunes and smoking a cigarette when I notice a roach in the ashtray. Oughta get rid of that, so I do. Now I'm thirsty so I pull into a 7-11. Out walks an off duty cop, no worries I'm cool (smoke billowing out of the truck) when the kids recognize their friendly DARE cop from school. They open the windows and start yelling "hey Officer Jim, it's us!." and he starts to stroll over. Smiling weakly I roll up the window, wave and haul ass. Kids, gotta love 'em. |
