I dream of Legion

OK, so I've got some kind of cold going on and when that happens, I tend to have long drawn out dreams. The frustrating kind, not exactly nightmares, but where you wake up and end up back in it. Something about decorating a computerized house and trying to match it to a real house, but it looked like garbage. Anyway, in between that, my dream that I was attending college with that hot coed that kept popping up and I was never able to make, my dream that I was in England, comparing basses with a guy I knew over 10 years ago (well, I think it was him, never saw his face) and my dream of a Sven Jolly vending machine that was out of whatever it was to be hawking, I dreamed of Legion. He was pleasant enough, but young and good looking, so I knew it was a dream ;^)~ I think he may have been part of the college dream. Anyway, I'll leave it to you psycho-types to decipher it.

Yours in dreaming...

RE: everyone does...

...'specially the Ladies.

Actually, I'm 47 but can pass for early 30's. Still got most of my hair, not fat, 6', 190 libs, and the sandy beard makes me look just like Sir Sean Connery. Not too bad looking yet, in spite of advancing years, in excellent health in spite of all these nagging physical injuries and stupid orthopedic operations that have plagued me the last few years.

So you are pretty close.

You could have precognition or some mental powers ? ("You are in possession of a very new human ability, or a very old one."- the Dead Zone. Stephen King)

Now then, back to business.

Writer Kurt Vonnegut on Murka (yes, the one and only):

"That chief and his cohorts have as little to do with Democracy as the Europeans had to do with Christianity. We the people have absolutely no say in whatever they choose to do next. In case you haven’t noticed, they’ve already cleaned out the treasury, passing it out to pals in the war and national security rackets, leaving your generation and the next one with a perfectly enormous debt that you’ll be asked to repay.

Nobody let out a peep when they did that to you, because they have disconnected every burglar alarm in the Constitution: The House, the Senate, the Supreme Court, the FBI, the free press (which, having been embedded, has forsaken the First Amendment) and We the People. "

RE: I dream of catfights

Oh Wiseass man thats a horrible nightmare!!!

You ever have a dream where your in a fight and when you try to swing/punch its like trying to thrust your arms through water? Basically you punch like a retarded little girl. Hate when that happens:)

Last night I had a dream I worked for some sort of publishing company. For whatever reason I knew these people in my dream for years, but come to think of it never seen them before in real life.

I was walking down halls, drinking from a bubbler/waterfountain and went into a room where everyone was waiting for me to speak?
There was only 4 people 2 girls and 2 guys.
All of which talked to me as if they knew me and for whatever reason I went along with it.

I dunno, there were some hot chicks walking about the place and for all I knew it could have been for a porn publishing company?
Wishful dreaming, but I didn't see any boobies : (

It was in a basement type setting not a highrise or in a city like environment. F-ing weird huh? Quite meaningless and I know there was more to this dream but that part has eluded me. The comical thing would be me working for a publishing company (well unless it was for art and stuff) but I could just imagine the great reviews with my writting capabilities!!!

WG I quit the band I was in when we met up and its only me and the drummer right now.
About a week ago I had a dream we were at a club we use to play frequently and we were going to be playing that night. The only thing was it was only me and my drummer.
I kept telling him "We don't have a bassist or singer ... we can't go on stage!"
But, he was like " Don't worry man everythings cool"

I remember walking around while people were looking at me saying " Hey can't wait to hear ya"
In my mind I kept thinking about not having the full lineup & although it wasn't sending me into a panic I was a little upset.

Then just days later I get two calls from some local club owners asking if our band can play a few shows and I told them the band is done, but we're starting a new project. Wooooooooooo creepy?

Really odd, but nothing like yours especially meeting the REM Leege.
I usually get some really F-ed up ones whenever I'm boozing it up big time.

Sadly I've only had 2 or 3 dreams of women wrasslin. Once they were in Walmart and another time I was hanging out in the woods with some woman and finally convinced them to fight.

They say you should always write down your dreams because it tells you things, but I haven't read a book or met any person that can truely disiffer what they mean.

Beer drinking weather is here WG ... lets get together soon.

Kurt vonnegut

I read that a coupla weeks ago, someone at work posted the link. Very interesting, but as I read it, I kept thinking that it's a fine line between the deep insights of a legendary novelist and the senile blabberings of a dribbling old man.

JSK, sorry to hear about the band, what up with Ando? Scott in the dream was just like the real thing, cool as a cucumber. We'll have to find a time when the drinks are cold...

What now that he's in his 80's?
Double 0 zero:)~

Yeah, I doubt anyone here looks like we think they might.
We'll accept Dio ofcourse.

The leg must really be buggin the crap outta ya Leege ... its been a few months now.
Water arobics/theopy always helps. Plus, theres usually a chick in a swimsuit doing the helping!!!
Use your gimpness as an advantage fluffy!!!
Make the chicks feel bad for you and fight to make you well.

RE: I dream of Legion

I'll give ya a buzz and say hello WG. Ando basically broke everything up. Long story, but we're all still friends. Well Scott hasn't talked to Ando since, but he'll get over it.

Just when a company was checking us out too.
Its ok, they were a small label anyways.

I'll talk to ya soon. We're practicing in my basement. Its converted to a practice space.
Looks nice ... sound proofing carpet on the walls etc.
Speakers up the kazooo. F-ing loud as hell.
Cheaper than paying 550.00 a month for a practice space in the city!!!
I'll have you come by sometime with U'r Bass.

The only thing its lacking now is groupies:)
But that'll change.

RE: I dream of Legion

Hmmm...can't say I've ever dreamed of any of you lugs, but I'd be happy to meet any of you. I'm thinking Roughie would be a cool young dude, as would Wiseguy & Dio & Spence. But killer sounds like my kinda guy. Now, leege is a loonie Canuck & half my family was in that circle and my late cousin, who died about 12 years ago at 45 of cancer, sounded just like leege writes. No, believe it or not, we never had an argument! He respected my beliefs and I his. He once even told his son Connor that I was a war "hero"...hehehe...I guess he was -- like leege -- a guy with a wonderful sense of humor.

RE: women wrestling dreams

Here would be my dream diary: Tonight, wimmin raskled again!

I dream those all the time, but I don't recall them very well. Working on that part.

I bet you didn't know you could 'work on' your dreams, eh? Well you can. It's called 'lucid dreaming' and you can learn how to do it, rather easily actually. It means you direct your own dream, sort of, more or less, to dream what YOU want to dream about rather than whatever your random synapse firing comes up with for the evening.

See if you can guess what I like to dream about? Heheh.

Dreams are awesome!

I've been keeping a dream journal for some time now. I would highly recommend it to anyone here. Fascinating! The more you condition yourself to write something down in the journal, the more you actually remember your dreams and all the intricacies. It's very cool! I've had some doozies too, as I'm sure everyone here has...ones where you wake up saying, "What the hell was that all about??" Once I jot them down though, so many of them make sense when I can actually read the content. It's like doing my own psychotherapy! Like Fonz though, I've never dreamnt about any of the wiseguys and knuckleheads here...not even Zip! There are some who believe that when people dream, you are having an out of body experience and connecting with the spirit world. I'll buy that, as I've had some that are SO far out there that would be the only explanation. I've had conversations with relatives who have passed away and been convinced on several occasssions that they were communicating someting to me from beyond. I only really remember dreaming of my father once, and he was young like the way he looked before he left for Vietnam.

All my really good sexual dreams always seem to get interrupted and it really ticks me off!!

Lucid Dreams

I'm still trying to figure it out. I've only had it happen two times, quite recently actually and quite by accident. In one, I remember looking down at my hands, in the other I saw my face in a mirror and could make out numbers on a digital clock. After these things happened in the dream, I could either decide what was going to happen next or I knew what was coming up next. It kind of freaked me out and so I wasn't able to fully take advantage of it! Hopefully, I'll get some more chances. Like I said, it just happened and I don't know how. I know that I've heard about different "breakthroughs", breaking down these barriers in your mind...looking down at your hands and seeing your own face in a mirror are a couple of them. Making out numbers and letters is another. If you'll notice, in most everyones' dreams you can't really make out numbers and read things.

Check out the film "Waking Life"..an awesome animated film about dreams.

Dreaming's like free falling through your subconscious..and you can learn a lot!

RE: I dream of Legion

Hey Lucid dreamers ...

Leege I've been able to do that a couple of times. I forget what the dreams were about now, but at the time I basically thought about the previous dream most of the day and then right before I went to sleep. For some reason it worked. Kinda like instead of counting sheep(or being French and F-ing them) I thought mainly on one thing.
I've also changed them around midway through. And, lots of times I know I'm dreaming, but being the lazy bugger I am stay asleep hoping they won't end.

Rough thats an odd dream you had. Your all screwed up man. I bet your a sicko and like to watch women wrassle!!!
I actually wrote something that I thought might help in finding out what your dream meant, but lets face it I don't know your story.
Could be as simple as you losing a watch or wanting one(hence the clock , you in the mirror looking at yourself, but mainly your hands)
Its obvious your looking at yourself for a reason possibly due for a change at some point or another? I dunno ... like I said I did write stuff down, but like my usual self I began to ramble on and on.

I had another dream last night, but this time I was working 4 days a week at a bank???
WTF? Never wanted to work for one, but would love to rob one :)
The funny thing was the people were trying to show me how to do certain things and I was just looking around not caring. Actually being an ass to the help(LOL)

I think out of most of my dreams for whatever reason they turn out to be that I'm either at an old job or something like that.
Maybe I'm nervous about my financial situation with the kid coming and all? Hmmmm I do ok and the wife does even better now so I can't see why. So I guess its my subconcious mind doing tricks on me while I'm trying to get rest.

Hey atleast they aint the FALLING dreams we all sometimes get!!!

RE: I dream of Legion

Don't worry about a thing killer. If the kids got grand parents, maybe they'll be like me: I spoil my granddaughter rotten! Then again, you'll have a tax deduction addition and pay the gubbmint less than last year.
Two names pop out @ me and I'll run 'em by ya:
Sven & Dio
