| Posted By: legion Posted On: Jun 22, 2004 Views: 281 | mpeg stuff So I bought this cheapo PCI TV for my new computer and guess what? Well, the software is garbage, but that's no big surprise. Luckily I don't use it. Turns out the card itself is really good. This piece of junk makes really good, really small mpeg 4's. I got some of the Godfather at one-meg-per-minute (which is very small) that is pretty decent quality, almost as good as VHS tape, and that going from digital to this compression is going to be small enough files like MP3's and...you guessed it, better than video tape. Delivered over the net, OEM. Nice, eh? I know you don't want to see the Godfather, so maybe you knuckleheads got an mpeg suggestion for me to make for ya? Hmmmm, I wonder why those Internet subscription places are still peddling such crappy mpegs? Oh wait... Bounders! |

Do you bring around a tape player so when ever your walking down the street and someone says HELLO you simply press the play button & it does it for you? Leege on tape- Hello! Anyways the other day I was at this cheap skate store and realized they had a little computer section where they were selling cd's and programs. Nothing at first that caught my attention until I saw this DVD/MP3 "you name it" maker. The program only cost 17.98 and told a buddy about it and the low price. He went there, but theres a catch. The price suddenly went up to 70.98 :) He asked one of the employees if that same item was being sold for 17.98 and the guy said "Yeah" but it was a major mistake and we had to fix all the tags. This thing isn't anything great, but lots of fun. It transfers files from computer to vcr or dvd and from (ofcourse) dcd/vcr to computer. Ofcourse unfortunatly I'm going to return it seeing they made a mistake and I feel wrong about it. Yeah right:)~ I just installed today and it runs like most other clip/movie maker, but is a little more fancy. I'm still all sketchy about all that compression and frames per second thing. Not the best looking stuff but small files for some decent length and picture. Actually no worse than some of the sites I've joined in the past. JSK JSK |

And you'd be surprised. Its wiped quicker than Leege can wipe his own ass. (kidden ofcourse but not about Leege:) I noticed a post in the producers section yesterday which is gone today. It was about some dude selling tapes of women wrestling that didn't know they were being taped or being sold or something? Might have been important but who knows now. I love to hear about stuff like that and in actuality if its part of the community maybe people should know. Then if you look she's not actually banning ip addresses. She's only deleting screen names. Some guy came in complaining about that, but she allowed it to stay posted. Just to prove authority!!! Naw, she told him what was up and watch me get it now for speaking out !!! :) For sure theres less mess on her board, but now less people. Or less posting. Still its a great board when your bored. Hey Dio, the other day I tried an experiment on my game 'Battlefield Vietnam' - I played against the computer on the easy setting as a VC gook, personally wasted 57 Murkins with my trusty sniper rifle, shot down 2 planes, destroyed 2 tanks, stole a Blackhawk helicopter and shot up the Murkin bases, and yet....I STILL LOST THE BATTLE! In other words, they even got this game rigged so Murkins will always win. Just like the movies, Rambo always wins. How ridiculous. Poor foolish, insecure Murkins. JSK - this card I bought was only 50 bucks Cdn - that's a buck and half Confederate money - and it makes swell mpegs for your movie collection. The software you get with the thing is terribly glitchy and buggy, but you can use other, much better software for capture. I didn't want to spend a fortune on a capture video card because I've already got an Nvidia4 video card that works great for games but has no capture feature for video IN. This was a good cheap alternative. |

Ouch(as JSK consoles the opposite arm not "slapped") Its quite funny whenever I get on some certain people's nerves the creative names start popin up. Leege ..... I'm not too schooled on the latest video clip technology. Lucky when I bought this computer it had just about every bell and whistle available. Ofcourse add ons are great and I like to have many options to just one type of thing. This program is called"Magix" and I messed with it earlier. I'm glad I didn't pay what I should have. In addition I have an ati multimedia system installed. My buddy who sold this baby to me used this pc for home survailance (yeah, a little creepy)but got the best stuff for its time.(year ago) Now if I only knew what I was doing! Then I got the typical "windows movie maker" which is commonly ok. I got another program which I later uninstalled called -Ulead video studio. It wasn't suppose to be compatable with XP, but I ran it anyways. It would just suddenly disapear in the middle of something or read errors. Best thing I've found so far and yet I couldn't find one for XP. I've mess around a bit and show ya clowns a few things. Maybe get some guidence on ratio and other scientific things :)~ Smoke em if ya got em- JSK |
