I can`t BELIEVE what I`ve just seen.......

Watching telly just now I could SWEAR I saw Colin Powell dancing on stage while singing "YMCA" by the Village People......at some middle Eastern conference.....Somebody PLEASE tell me I`m imagining it.....oh, God, he`s doing it AGAIN! (Where`s my medication)

Afraid it's true, ole boy...

Surely, yet another sign of the apocalypse. I've heard the clip of Powell singing is actually what finished off poor Marlon Brando! RIP Marlon.

I'm going to finally see "Fahrenheit 911" tomorrow. After reading about a dozen reviews for it, I'm ready to see the damn thing for myself. I'll let everyone know what I think of it and try my utmost to be as fair and balanced as I was with the other big controversial film I reviewed earlier this year, "The Passion of the Christ".

RE: I can`t BELIEVE what I`ve just seen.......

Gee, thanks, Roughie, we are all on the edge of our seats waiting for a movie review from you.

Do you ever wonder why you get into message board flame wars? Do you think you might take yourself too serious? Probably answered no to both of those, huh?

GG: I saw the same thing you did last night (YMCA dance). I thought it was the bad blotter, or the fiddleheads I picked, in a trailer, down by the river. I flashbacked, then flashforwarded, thankfully not forward enough to read a catfight tape review from Rex Roughie, or his latest cine review.

Well, one more week before I get to take 2 weeks vacation. Praying to our good Lord, that the message board bitch (rough) gets his/her review out on the latest flick. He's a great writer!! Did you see his review of "Sit on my face and tell me that you love me"? (Or some title like that. He's a phenominal female wrestling tape reviewer) I think that review was the one that sent him off and on his way as an official critic/reviewer.

RE: I can`t BELIEVE what I`ve just seen.......

LOL! Yeah That "One of the signs of the Apocalypse" thing went through my mind as well. He was dressed in a standard devo boiler suit & hard hat! SHEEEIIITTT!. It was one of those real jaw-dropping moments of "Things CAN`T be that dumb and wrong" That steels away a bit more of your soul that you did`nt even know you still possessed. -and there`s been WAY too many of THEM in the past couple of decades. Pity Colin`s "wack honky step routine" (-sorry, I just watched "High School High" on telly) -appeared too late to make it into Mnsr. Moore`s movie. The films only fault is that we`ve lived under this system for so long now that it`s be a bit like those mice in the fable saying- "Well, we`ve got a plan, now who`s going to actually PUT the bell round the cat`s neck?" Can you REALLY imagine Bush, Blair & cronies going through impeachment, let alone a Saddam-type show trial? -Still.... nice thought, eh?

RE: I can`t BELIEVE what I`ve just seen.......

the "other important film" - The Passion of Jeebus Christy?

You gotta be kidding? Maybe if they re-release the Life of Brian....now that will be an important event in the history of film, but certainly not the Jeebus Chainsaw Massacre.

re: flame wars

What flame wars?
define?

Now, Leege!

I did say the "other big controversial film of the year", a fair assessment I do believe.

Yes, it's a shame the Powell/Villiage People thing didn't make "Fahrenheit". It would have been perfect. Moore did get his hands on some other truly "award winning" clips of Bush and Co. that will have your jaw dropping!

I was telling someone earlier how "Fahrenheit 9/11" could actually be considered a horror film. The images of warfare nothwithstanding...seeing larger than life 20 foot versions of Bush, Cheney and Rumsfled was truly terrifying. I'm surprised I haven't had nightmares about it.

FLAME WARS? What flame wars? Hmmmm, well there's the whole series of no holds barred cage matches Fonz and I used to get into with that wonderdummy Jabroni. But, that got so boring because the knucklehead kept sticking his foot in his mouth so much. I doubt if you will get an answer from "Brian"...he seems to be one of those hit and run posters. Gee, I bet that's his real name, too. Couldn't even come up with a halfway snazzy nickname. Whatever....

RE: I can`t BELIEVE what I`ve just seen.......

...LOL - If you thought Colin Powell's rendition of YMCA was unnerving - In the film Fahrenheit 911, there is actual footage of Ashcroft performing some retarded song - it gives new meaning to the word dissonance.

RE: I can`t BELIEVE what I`ve just seen.......

Yes lovely lady, that was John Ashcroft singing a tear-jerking rendition of "Let the Eagle Soar"! It truly frightened me to my very core. That alone should have given it the 'R' rating!

RE: I can`t BELIEVE what I`ve just seen.......

...ASScroft's religious beliefs forbid dancing, but somehow, whatever he was doing on that stage, is A-OK?
