Posted By: JSK Posted On: Jul 9, 2004 Views: 285 | Cana-dah the paranoid Well I happened to go over to Barb's board. I read a post where Leege mentions that America was fearful. I really doubt its any more fearful than any other country. I will say this ... its still more easy for certain countrymen to enter our country than lets say CANADA. Heres the story- I was scheduled to go to Cunuckland this weekend. Wasn't for anything important really just to hang with a buddy whos playing in Montreal. He didn't want to make the 6 hour plus drive alone and seeing I make my own work hours he asked if I'd like to go. Plus, he's got the mentality I have and drinking habits:) First off I'd never been there before or left the country for that matter so I wasn't sure what I would need. Passport, license etc. Turns out I needed my birth certificate which God knows where that is? So I had to take a day to get that (outta town)to my city of birth. First I had a fun time finding parking that wasn't for the handicapped. Had to walk past 3 homeless dudes asking me for a cigarette. I told em I didn't smoke and then as I crossed the street light up :) Listen to some idiots standing around with signs in their hands picketing how their school system is run ... waited in line behind some lady with 15 kids (all shapes, sizes and colors) and finally got a copy of my birth certificate. Only 8 bucks thankfully. Then I get back home and I find out my buddy left a message on my answering machine. It turns out that his other bandmates had problems at the gates! One of their friends who was riding with them wasn't allowed into the country all because he had been arrested before? They made another trip back and met up with some other friends to meet him halfway to take him home as the other guys ventured onward. They were going to meet him and I up there tomorrow. Ok, so I'm thinking this guy must be a murderer or something? Nope ... because he failed to pay child support for a year and didn't want to pay he was arrested (2 yrs back) Previously my buddy asked me "Have you been arrested before?" Back in 1991 I was popped for DUI (driving while intoxicated)... payed up the nose, lost my car, job at the time and smartened up. Also, I was a young stupid 19 years old kid who was actually bringing people home who were more messed up than me:) I just happened to be a few pops over the LEGAL limit and was under the age to legally consume alcohol. Anyways I guess they look at all of that or can at the border. Not to mention I had a few prior arrests before that fateful evening. All dumb minor in possesion of alcohol charges ... basically slap on the wriste type things. Ok, in 1990 I was arrested, but aquited of "assault charges". Its now 2004 and like I said hadn't been in trouble since 91 and you'd guess there was a statute of limitations or something? Basically we come to the realization that it would suck to get up there only to be the "lucky" guy picked and have his record checked. You'd think I robbed a bank or killed a cop! So I won't be going to Canada after all. Kinda glad because in a way its a long ass haul just to hear my friends band play for 40 minutes . Especially considering they are playing next week only 20 minutes a way. And I was actually going to be nice to all the Cunucks up there too. Dam !!! Would have been a good change even for a weekend. Talk about paranoya post 9/11. Leege, is this really the deal up there? JSK |

Posted By: legion Posted On: Jul 11, 2004 Views: 257 | RE: Cana-dah the paranoid Silence foolish Murkin! Don't make us burn down your White house again like we did in the War of 1812. We noticed you've rebuilt it - it's very nice. But don't get any ideas about trying to klepto chunks of Canada again, or we'll have to stomp another mud-hole in yer arse. |
Posted By: JSK Posted On: Jul 12, 2004 Views: 250 | RE: Cana-dah the paranoid Children really shouldn't play with matches doobie. Your country is considered by most as a "vacation land" not anything else. Either way we kept our land. You can have your cold ****ty seasons you get in 90% of Canada. Back in the day when you dummies and the British tried to **** with us you didn't win. WE DID. Sucks eh? I didn't get into your country this time, but I'll TRY AGAIN SOME DAY YOU BLASTED CANADIAN!!! :)~ JSK |
Posted By: legion Posted On: Jul 13, 2004 Views: 243 | RE: Cana-dah the paranoid uh, we Canucks never did "try to f#$% with you" moron, you got it backwards as usual. That was the British, and the French helped you kick the Brits out same as the Brits helped us to kick the Murkins out of our country. Of course, the British helped us because they wanted the natural resources in Canada, same reason you tried to invade us (several times). Get an education, come back, tell us what you've learned, maybe we'll talk. We are peaceful, YOU are warmongers. That's the difference. |

Actually I just gave you a chance to boast about winning lots of the battles. But, when it comes to fighting again you furked up all by yourself. JSK |
