Predictions?

So what is your prediction for the next four years if and when Bush wins? What will he do about the Iran situation and North Korea? The debates certainly didn't enlighten us on what Bush policy will be towards these countries, except more of the same. Domestically, more of the same. Note the "Osama Bin Pork Laden tax cut measures" just passed. Pour on the gravy! We're running deficits of half a trillion dollars, and we're giving subsidies to tobacco, the movie industry, and just about everyone else except for the poor slobs like you and me. Used to be when Democrats did something like that, Republicans would be making all kinds of hay about deficit increases and bugdget busting special interests.

Troops in Iraq refusing to drive supply trucks because we can't afford the equipment to make them safe. Bush gives us his version of the truth and that we should not believe what we see with our own two eyes. A man who can't think of any mistakes he's made in four years. Well, of course not...after all, he's "divinely inspired"!

Bush/Cheney 2004 (??)

Be careful what you wish for!

RE: That the sox won't be @ the world series

Like any UN sanctions or talks stopped Iran or North Korea from going forward with their nukes program?
Lotta good its done. This is why I say F the UN.

Iraq beat the crap outta Iran and more recently the United States hasn't had a good history with Iraq. Its a no brainer we would jump on their backs before Iran. Last we knew Iraq was trying to aquire uranium and its much easier to get than most think. Its also a lot easier to hide also especially in a huge desert. We had evidence they had it and destroyed areas of which they were constructing facilities. Remember some of the countries that didn't back the coalition vs Saddam war? Same ones buying oil and helping Iraq make nuclear reactors.

Sadly some people need a bomb to be dropped on their doorsteps to fully believe other countries can get nukes and use them on you.
A country like Iraq would have.

So while we were on Iraq's back why didn't anyone else do anything about N. Korea and Iran?
Did their lame talks do anything?

Talk is VERY cheap. Once things calm down with Iraq (because I believe after their elections it will) we will pursue those other countries.
But, lets see what any other countries do to REALLY help.

Maybe to take a jab @ GW they will settle something just to show the US that war doesn't always have to be the answer, but I very much doubt that.
Again we will need to stick our asses on the line for others.

Kerry is uncertain of what he will do besides talk to these countries. Wake up John everyones talked to them until they were blue in the face.
Kerry needs to realize that noone gives a **** what the United States or any other country says. Its what you do or intend to do if an aggreement isn't reached.

In Saddam's case he broke so many laws for such a long period of time it was about time something was done.
The only thing that could be done was over throw him & that meant war. So be it.

Sorry to say it to ya Roughy, but GW will take another 4 years. I think you know that already though.

If Kerry wins hats off to him and hope he can do better. I'm certainly not going to hope he fails if he's in power of my country.
Not like others are doing to the current president.

Interesting, interesting.....

Yeah, he'll probably "take" another election, just like he did in 2000, when Al Gore won the popular vote and the Supreme Court put Bushie in the White House. That was such a great momnet in American history!

I certainly hope you don't think I've wanted Bush to fail! Jerry H, Killah! WTF?? I love this country, I just think Bush is one of the absolute worst Presidents we've had in recent history, and about half the country and the rest of the civilized world pretty much agrees with that! But, it's obvious you just ain't seeing it. I want the best for this country and, let me tell you, Bush is FAR from it. He plays to the lowest common denominator and makes no bones about it. I've hoped against hope that he and his sorry administration would get their act together but so far, no luck. And there's no chance of any improvement in a second term. More of the same bulls hit. It will be a sad day when a candidate with far better foreign and domestic plans, who beat Bush in all three of their debates, looses to a stupid cowboy who thinks he's handpicked by the Almighty to save all of mankind. Yep...SAD!

Insofar as the Middle East, what's interesting is that Iran is seemingly the real "winner" in all this. They are now the most powerful country in the region, with nuclear capabilities that we KNOW they have. They are also the biggest supporter of terrorism of any country in the Middle East. Always have been. All the reasons Bushie gave for invading Iraq (which did NOT pan out, as we all now know) actually applied to Iran and still do today. Go figure! Bush and Co. just seem to have a hard time going after the real threats. But I guess Bush will want to tackle Iran in his second term...it promises to be at least twice as bad as Iraq. And Bushie still says there will be NO draft! This is the same idiot who says things are going great in Iraq so I guess we've all figured out how we are to take everything that comes out of his mouth. It's sort of like Bizarro World, I guess!

But don't anyone fret now! We all know Bushie is just getting the Middle East all "tidied up" and ready for Jesus to make his big comeback tour. Oh, he's coming back any day now, ya know! And remember, Bush is a true believer....he believes the Book of Revelations, chapter and verse! Scared yet?

RE: Predictions?

OK Rough, Ill play along and assume Bush will win:
1) No draft...no congressman/woman would dare vote to reinstitute the damn thing.
2) No more excusions into the various parts of the world. Bush will have lost/almost lost because of this.
3) Tighter controls over the Southern and Northern borders, as foreign agents will have walked in, right past border patrols.
4) Economy will have a downturn, as gas prices will continue to rise.
5) al Qaeda will regroup and hit an American city, possibly with a so called dirty bomb, though it may be a more conventional weapon and the gummint will say it was this white boy over here..ala McVeigh...and the peeps will believe it.
6) Economy will have an upturn toward the end of the term.
btw, the above is also my prediction if Kerry wins, except for possibly #6. My earlier prediction to some people Ive talked to in the past...that the Clintons wont be seen much...has come to pass.
In short, though, elections mean little except to figure out who will screw us up worse. We did it right in 60, 80, 88, 96 & 2000, but failed miserably in 64, 68, 72, 76 and possibly in 92.
Its all a crap shoot, though Kerry is a far worse person/candidate than he appears and GW will go down as a decent but imperfect prez.
I can live with that.

Whoever goes in.....

Has GOT to tighten up our borders and provide better security in our ports. We're still practically WIDE OPEN for anyone to come in and attack. I can't believe something else hasn't happened already. To me, shoring up the borders and providing real security is more than half the battle and should be priority number one. So far, I don't think it has been.

RE: Predictions?

I promise to leave the country if Shrubya is reelected. Oh, wait...

Okay then, I promise to never visit Murka ever again. Vacations shall henceforth be taken in Canuckistan or Europe, or one of those Amsterdam/Oriental drug/sex-vacations.

Ein volk, ein Reich, ein Fuhrer!
