In the UK for the first time, we get to vote.

Yes, the United Kingdom being in many ways the 51st state of the USA, are running tv votes for UK viewers in the US election; a sad testimony of how close these two nations now are in cultural allignment.

So, at the moment Tony Blair is remaining silent when being asked questions about the US election, and we all know why.

His allegiance with Bush has lost him a huge loss of support within the labour party and the nation's voters. So much it may lose him the UK election which will probably occur in May next year. Many commentators have stated that if Kerry wins, Blair's allegiance with this new President will gain him favour as the re-election of the widely detested Bush will only make things more worse than they already are, i.e. Blair's continuing reprimand for sending British troops into attack a nation on a false premise of that nation having weapons of mass destruction.

So I think it's obvious which way British people want the election to go, they see it quite simply as a choice between a half-wit ape like Nazi war mongering ****pig with the IQ of an amoeba, or the guy who does not, as yet, have blood on his hands, and looks like Herman Munster. It's quite simple really, we'd like Kerry to win as at least he's not the bastard that George Bush is and he seems an intelligent guy.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm guessing, like Clinton, Kerry will **** things up just as bad as Bush has, like in the UK with our political system there's actually no real difference between who to vote for, purely a choice of who will benefit the selfish voter the most, it's not about politics any more, just voting for the guy who will make you the most money and guarantee protection from all foreign filth who do not believe in Yahweh.

Personally I think you need a change, purely to have someone intelligent in power as opposed to that ass Bush, he's just plain embarrassing and represents your country as a nation of gun ho idiots.

As I speak it's neck and neck and the turnout of voters is very high. It'll be interesting to see which nutter wins in the end.

Cheerio

RE: In the UK for the first time, we get to vote.

Intelligence is, of course, a debateable topic and has been with Bush since day one. Funny thing is, when Reagan spoke everyone noticed his eloquence and style yet called him merely an actor and a cowboy. He had only a BA from Eureka College, the beloved Kennedy only a business degree from Harvard and Johnson fractured the English language at least as badly as Bush! Also, remember that it was Woody Wilson, the PhD from Princeton who had the highest degree, was a loquacious while effective speaker but was, alas, the daddy of the neo cons in foreign policy.
No, all the name calling in the world doesn`t and shouldn`t detract us from voting for the most effective leader. That you Euro`s seem to have settled on Mr. Kerry (who, if one really listens NEVER gives a solution, but bromides and attacks) has convinced many of us to stick to Bush. Do I really care if a Frenchman, a Dane or a Belgium waffler like our Prez? Ah...no.
Thanks for you insight, however.
BTW, my Pistons start the season tonight.

I "rocked the vote"!

The one I don't get is P. Diddy's cryptic "VOTE OR DIE"! Sounds a bit harsh, doesn't it? What the hell does it mean?? Someone needs to explain that one to me.

Fonz, it's going to be damn close. I'm keeping my fingers crossed in the hopes that we do have a decisive winner by the end of the night (and not egg on our face again). Whoever wins it, I just want the thing to be OVER. Damn sick of it!

There's at least one scenario where there could be a tie of the electoral college vote...269 to 269! That's right, we might just have a Bush/Edwards Administration! I could see that one before I could Kerry/Cheney.

Update on turnout

Thanks for that Fonz, some interesting points...

Here's something the British media are reporting that may not be being represented in the American media, or perhaps it is.

They are saying this election is bringing out a huge turnout, way over what is normal for the apathetic American voters. What this also indicates is that these waves of extra voters are the youth and minorities of America, which are predominantly Democrat.

It is still up in the air, and no one really knows how it will swing in the end. At last, a US election that is actually interesting to all foreign people. The British media are following it through the night and I think I'll stay up and watch... good fun.

Cheers

True, true Field Marshall

Voter registration, early voting and the turnout today is way up. Everyone I know actually voted days or weeks ago! I'm one of the few who actually voted on Election Day (I'm just old fashioned that way).

I think the 18-21 yr old first time voters will decide this one. Interestingly enough, they don't really get polled. They are predominantly for Kerry/Edwards...so I still think Kerry will be the clear winner.

Everyone laugh heartily at me if I'm wrong!

RE: In the UK for the first time, we get to vote.

Wait a while, Dio: While it IS true that the college students tend to vote Democrat, the majority of the new voters could prove to be split. Also, remember that, in the past, the Dems scared the beejeezus outta the oldsters, saying they would have their pensions taken away and such. That threat is now lame & has been proven a hoax.
Still, the youth may have been scared by the threat of a draft, which, while bogus, is a real threat in the minds of some youngins.
Now, I do also want to mention that OBL IS an equal opp terorist and will attack the USA no matter who wins. He did in 93, 98 and 99 while Clinton was in office and he will do the same again. Also, I have predicted, to the real horror of some friends, that LA will be attacked (no matter who wins) either by a dirty bomb or the more likely whackos from North Korea (ahmembur them heheh???) who now possess the capacity to reach West Coast shores.
An LA attack will cripple our commerce, had been attempted once before (stymied in 99 by a border agent) and Kerry has talked the same toughness as Bush. Note to voters: This isnt Spain; a regime change has NEVER stopped Islamic hatred for Western/American values.
It will be a rough 4 years, no matter who wins. I just think Kerry will be bad for America and for his ultimate capitulation to Islamic Fascists. Hope Im wrong, but certain I wont be...

It's a certainty, Fonz

And it's something I don't think a lot of Americans have come to terms with. No matter who wins, it's not a matter of IF there's going to be another attack, but WHEN...and HOW BAD. We've been lucky since the 9/11 attacks and our luck is bound to run out, sooner or later. Bushie's wreckless cowboy diplomacy has only fed fanatic anti Americanism, throughout the world. We're creating far more terrorists than we're destroying. The Iraq War has been a key recruitment tool for Bin Laden.

Honestly, I wouldn't want the job of President in this day and age. The next four years may very well be the roughest any President has had to endure.

RE: Tony Baloney again

'purely a choice of who will benefit the selfish voter the most'

Yah, that's what elections are. In our last vote however, us Canucks would NOT vote for the fundy conservative tard mostly because he was a fundy (fundamentalist Christer).

Traditionally the Dumbocratic party has been just as big warmongers as the Conservatards in the States. They are a war state - Sparta - and have been since WW2, but they are running out of impoverished, defenseless tinpot dictatorships to invade and exploit.
Americans switch official 'enemies of the state' so often it's hard for the rest of us to keep track of who we're supposed to be hating on any given week.

Once everyone gets nukes I expect the American administration will announce they have discovered enemies on the moon, and must commence immediate attack to halt the moonie insurgency and stop the dominos from falling across the solar system. And the people will believe it too. Just watch - we the people are mostly idiots, especially in the southern Yahoo states. Those red-state fundy Repugs can't tell the difference between Jesus, The President, Santa Claus, or Elvis.

You already have my prediction - more war in '04.

That will not change until the people are motivated for social justice, as they were in the 60's.

Politicians change nothing. Ever. That's the way it's always been - (Read Platos Republic, it is brilliant.)

"The bigger the lie, the more people will believe it" - Adolph Hitler

Nah nah nah nah........{snap} {snap}.

[His allegiance with Bush has lost him a huge loss of support within the labour party and the nation's voters. So much it may lose him the UK election which will probably occur in May next year.]...'Fessor

That is the common wisdom over here as well 'Fessor, but I'm not so sure. This assumption partially ignores the key desire which is true in every election, the desire to win. Liberal Labour is ****ed at Tony Bee for supporting Dubb but won't they eventually back him in order to protect their majority? If liberal Labour sacked its leader during an election couldn't the Tory pigs exploit this as some sort of weakness and possibly pick up a few seats? Not enough to win certainly but enough to perhaps slightly botch up Labour's quasi-socialist agenda. I'm not making any claims here, just merely wondering.

[...like in the UK with our political system there's actually no real difference between who to vote for, purely a choice of who will benefit the selfish voter the most,...]...'Fessor

That's not entirely true over here. It is true that many fascist 'Mericans vote on the basis of which candidate will give them the most gummit goodies, but then again many other people vote on the basis of which candidate they "think" will regulate their lives the least.

[Personally I think you need a change, purely to have someone intelligent in power as opposed to that ass Bush, he's just plain embarrassing and represents your country as a nation of gun ho idiots.]...'Fessor

Semper Phi do or die! Gung-ho, gung-ho!! {ahem} Uh, sorry 'Fessor, I got a little carried away there. Now what were you saying?

[They(Lobster liberal media) are saying this election is bringing out a huge turnout, way over what is normal for the apathetic American voters. What this also indicates is that these waves of extra voters are the youth and minorities of America, which are predominantly Democrat.]...'Fessor

This was the big hope of both the Colonial and Yerupeen liberal medias but turned out not to be the case. The youth vote was only slightly higher than that of 2000. Same with black voters. Dubb did make big gains with non-Cuban Hispanics but the largest increase ended up being...get this...those damn fascist Christians! I s-h-i-t you not 'Fessor. This took everyone by suprise, including me. Generally speaking, 'publicans get most of their voter base out on election day, so any increase in turnout is usually thought to be commie. Pachyderm pollsters kept claiming during the last two weeks that they had registered 2 million new bible thumpers. Most people, including me, thought they were fulla s-h-i-t. Guess not.

[The British media are following it through the night and I think I'll stay up and watch... good fun.]...'Fessor

I totally agree. The early portion of a campaign can be tiring. Especially the looooong campaigns we seem to increasingly have here in the Colonies. The final leg is usually pretty good.

[Intelligence is, of course, a debateable topic and has been with Bush since day one. Funny thing is, when Reagan spoke everyone noticed his eloquence and style yet called him merely an actor and a cowboy.]...ATF

Yeah, the dummy label is getting really old. Secular liberals should try hard and come up with something new next time. Did you know that EVERY fascist Pachyderm president SINCE EISENHOWER(1953) has been tagged as a dumb bunny by the Dimuhcraps? That's right, the very man that posessed the diplomacy, organization, and strategic oversight needed to whip Hitler's wizard Field Marshals was called uh big ole dummy by the pinkish-greens. Imagine that.

[Do I really care if a Frenchman, a Dane or a Belgium waffler like our Prez? Ah...no.]...ATF

Heh heh heh...{ahem} uh, I mean no! Bad ATF!! Don't you know it's OUR responsibility to try and see things THEIR way and NOT the other way around. Shame on you!!!

[...whackos from North Korea (ahmembur them heheh???) who now possess the capacity to reach West Coast shores.]...ATF

That's not quite true...yet. The Nodong missle system that the North Koreans use is an intermediate ranged missle(roughly 900mi). This is the exact missle they brazenly launched over Japan awhile back. It is believed that they have a completed intercontinental version on the drawing board that might have the range to hit Hawaii or the West Coast with a low yield warhead, but it has never been tested. Ballistic missles are extremely complicated and must go through extensive trials to ensure safety and reliability. These trials usually take years.

[The one I don't get is P. Diddy's cryptic "VOTE OR DIE"! Sounds a bit harsh, doesn't it? What the hell does it mean?? Someone needs to explain that one to me.]...Rough

This is Ping Pong's dumbed down hip-hop version of MTV's Rock The pink-o Vote. I heard Pee Diddly Doo stumble around and try to 'splain it on Ow'Ryelee.

[There's at least one scenario where there could be a tie of the electoral college vote...269 to 269! That's right, we might just have a Bush/Edwards Administration! I could see that one before I could Kerry/Cheney.]...Rough

Actually a 269-269 tie would've meant a Dubb victory. Under our fascist Constitution an electoral college tie is decided in the House of Representatives. Since the House is controlled by warpigs...well, you get the picture.

[I think the 18-21 yr old first time voters will decide this one. Interestingly enough, they don't really get polled. They are predominantly for Kerry/Edwards...so I still think Kerry will be the clear winner.

Everyone laugh heartily at me if I'm wrong!
]...Rough

HAAAAAAAhahahaha....Nah, just kidding.

[The Iraq War has been a key recruitment tool for Bin Laden.]...Rough

Really? Ummm, that's funny, Binny was certainly having NO trouble recruiting jihadies before 9/11. I guess those Bubba and Maddie the Mad Bomber's baby milk bombings had no effect on Binny's efforts, huh?

[Traditionally the Dumbocratic party has been just as big warmongers as the Conservatards in the States.]...fluffy

Actually the Dimuhcraps have been in the Whitey House during more wars than the fascist Warpigs. I don't blame either party because most wars are largely inevitable.

[...we the people are mostly idiots, especially in the southern Yahoo states. Those red-state fundy Repugs can't tell the difference between Jesus, The President, Santa Claus, or Elvis.]...fluffy

Uhhh, let's see...Elvis is the fat one, right?...no, wait...Santa is the fat one...or is he the one with the beard? OHHH DAMN IT! I always f-u-c-k this one up!!

[They are a war state - Sparta - and have been since WW2, but they are running out of impoverished, defenseless tinpot dictatorships to invade and exploit.]...fluffy

Maybe not. The People's 'public of Kanuhduh is largely defenseless...unless you're counting hockey sticks as weapons. Another decade or so of quasi-socialism and we'll see about that impoverished thingy. Better sleep with one eye open fluffs!

'Merican gung-ho yahoo,
