No posts about the Iraqi elections?

Why? Because they went better than most thought they would? Sadly that doesn't just **** of terrorists it ****es off idiots like John Kerry and Hillary (I fell on my face) Clinton and certainly a few here.
A very good sign indeed in the middle east. Hats off to the coalition and the Iraqi people for finally showing they want their country back.

RE: No posts about the Iraqi elections?

Did you see Kerry Sunday on Meet The Press?
Seems the boy FIRST said that the war and the elections DIDNT make us safer, THEN he said they WOULD.
Anyway, I believe that the far left doesn`t really like elections and, to be fair, neither do some on the far right (the Allende overthrow in 1973 in Chile comes to mind); to see the Iraqi`s dancing in the streets and to see that the Dem`s boyz in the bunkers aren`t killing enough innocents to justify an immediate pull out by the Americans just has to weigh heavy on our friends here, killer. Have mercy on them. Perhaps a Dr. Kevorkian kit is in order for fluffy and gizzard?

RE: No posts about the Iraqi elections?

Nothing will be good enough for people like Kerry and all the other nay-sayers. Infact, I talked to a few people who voted for the fool and they were "upset" with the elections.
"As if that'll do any good" one idiot said

This moron was the same person that claimed the elections wouldn't happen and even if they did noone would show due to the terrorists. Not only that, but the FACT (he said)that Iraqis were quite happy the way their country was.

Like the media he just couldn't find as much BAD as there was GOOD from what happened in Iraq during the elections so he basically could care less about the subject. This is the problem I find in not only some American's, but forigners even those claiming to be our freinds.

Its what GW and everyone behind the whole deal wanted and planned for. To get the Iraqis to vote and get themselves stable again. This is only the beginning and a great start I'll add. Everyone but the terrorists should be happy. Lurch only went on to show the true stubborn person HE IS.
I'm so glad that fool didn't get in. And just as you said Fonz he changed his mind/views once again.

Again people complain that there were deaths and bombs going off. It actually went off better than when some of the presidents in the past were running for office right here in America when we were gaining our independence. And, lets face it terrorists will always try to do something. To say they wouldn't have would have been the biggest mistake. This election went to show you that more Iraqis believe in a lot more than Saddam and terrorism.

Its been said that over 90% of the terrorism happening is coming straight from Iraqis themselves. Saddam supporters and those pretending to do it in the name of their religious beliefs. Plainly haters of anyone but themselves putting children in harms way by stacking them with explosives and running into the streets. Isn't this what anyone would want to be stopped?

After a day like the one the world witnessed maybe some day it will be.

RE: No posts about the Iraqi elections?

I'm glad the elections went off without any major hitches. Pretty miraculous actually.

Now ,maybe we can finally start working on getting out troops out of there and back home.

RE: No posts about the Iraqi elections?

Amen to that, Ruffy.
You, sir, are a liberal with sense and a balance others of the left could learn a lot about. Just as you must know any Conservative/Right winger is disconcerted by the carnage and death in Iraq, I believe most libs are like you and simply want the USA to be strong but to stay out of most foreign entanglements. You need to avoid the extreme Anti Americans that you see here in the real world. On the `net they are, like Lugar & Freestroker, kinda amusing, thus...harmless & good for the realization that you DO NOT wanna be that person (LOL).
I also might toss in the idiots who want to see the Colorado U prof (Ward Churchill) sh*t canned, as he has every right to his sick political opinions even if I (and most Americans) totally disagree with his whacked out views.

ATF-
Yeah now the guy can blame 9/11 for something else that happened bad. Him being fired. What a dumb-ass huh?
They should have allowed him to preach his BS in New York. I'm sure it would have went over well.

RE: No posts about anything lately...

Those poor people. It was great to see them happy and celebrating for a change after decades of war and bombing.
Real "lefty hippies" want nothing but what is best for those people, and hope they achieve peace with each other at last, unfortunately there are a great many feuding religious factions in that country that have been at each other's throats for millenia. It remains to be seen whether or not they will accept minority status under a dumbocratic tyranny of the majority but hey, you never know. Real lefties are hopeful - regardless, the end still does not justify the means.

I don't give a fark which one of your meaningless 'sides' Repug/Dumbocrat false dichotomy is 'winning' the battle for Murkin hearts and simple minds. This is about people's lives, nobody in the world cares about your politics except for you, as it should be. Until of course, you start invading other countries for obviously fabricated reasons, that is. Quit projecting your smug sense of self absorption, you farking Murkins are like children who have yet to realize an external world exists outside of themselves.

That's why they call themselves 'Americans'
They think they are the only ones on the continent.

RE: No posts about the Iraqi elections?

Hope you fellas are all doing alright. I've been busy lately and haven't had much time to drop by.

I am hoping for the best in Iraq but this is only the first step of a very long, and no doubt problematic, road ahead. We can hope and pray that a pivotal corner has been turned. The elections were a great day but it doesn't undo a year and a half of profoundly flawed foreign policy on many levels. War should NEVER be the answer for anything as I've always believed in my heart of hearts. Yes, we finally reached election day in Iraq with very little bloodshed. Were there other ways that we could have gone about all this without invading a country under false pretenses and engaging in a war that has killed tens of thousands of Iraqis and over 1400 American soldiers? I think most rational thinking people would have to say YES.
